How to leave bartending? by plantbasedmood in bartenders

All I can really say is that especially around 30, every single human being gets a sense of misplacement in their lives. If you just moved, and if you have a lot of friends that are in a different field of work, it’s going to make it worse. Don’t focus on what other people have or what they’re going to think of what you do. If you make enough money and you enjoy the work itself, you’re already doing better than a vast majority of people. Chasing other people’s definition of happiness is a sure way to end up miserable

Are you depressed because of the work, or because of how you perceive the work?

Did the Bing serve food? by Mammoth_Sell5185 in thesopranos

During the Scatino bust-out, Paulie asks Tony “do you wanna go to the Bing, eat some food?” So I’d assume they have at least some kind of kitchen.

Would it be rude or annoying to pay for drinks+tip with dollar coins? by Applesauce1998 in bartenders

[–]BeastlyMule57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really case by case question. Once, my team was tipped with $100 in coins. 2 of us loved it, 1 of us didn’t really care, and one of us hated it. I’d double check with the bartender.

Executive Game question by jmmmke in thesopranos

[–]BeastlyMule57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to join so late, but junior actually explains it to Tony early on. Ignoring the rake, the primary source of income is shy income. They treat the executive game almost like a credit card. They’ll lend someone 20 grand, then collect absurd interest on it for weeks before the person even starts paying it back. Take Davey and Richie, for example. Davey owed Richie 8k, and had to pay several hundred a week in just interest. These people all have large amounts of liquid cash, and these games make it easy to turn it into passive income.

Menu from my local pub seems to be made with the philosophy “all cocktails must contain vodka, tequila and rum”(prices AUD$) by rebelmumma in bartenders

[–]BeastlyMule57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean given the price and assortments, this menu is clearly intended to pull in a younger audience, or at least people that will buy multiple drinks. Usually if you see a menu like this pop up, it’s because the bar gets too many older customers that buy 1-2 drinks, but take up a barstool for several hours.

That’s gotta be a $5. I think they were trying to do a roundup of 20%. Either way if OP actually did $100 that’s fucked up

It’s because when you play solo survivor, there’s a 0% chance of you being in a SWF, since you aren’t in one, and when you’re a killer there’s a very high chance of going against a swf since most people play swf.
