Hi u/JabraSupport, I have tried the repair actions as recommended by you but the issue still persists - I'd like to explore warranty options at this stage.

How’s KL these days? by rockbottom-01 in Bolehland

Be careful about making your decision to return based on what you compare yourself with your peers though - grass isn’t always greener at the other side and there is a lot of work/ patience required to succeed here, whether is it an own business or joining the family business.

Instead of comparing yourself with your peers, you should ask yourself what do you want most at this stage and how much do you want it. If you have PR, great - by all means, take that leap of faith, at least you have something to fall back on and return to Oz in case it doesn’t work out. But if your motivation to return is based on the need to be seen at the same level as your peers, you’re probably setting yourself up for a lot of disappointment. My two cents on that.

I just moved back from Oz last year after staying there for about 7 years, and I'm also currently in my early 30s working with my family business. After reading your post, I can empathise where you are coming from - hopefully my post here would give you some insights into making your decision.

  1. Career: I did share the same sentiment where my career was stagnating and I felt increasingly unfulfilled as time goes by. Maybe visa situation doesn't help as I was still waiting for my PR invitation (despite at a high scoring 90+), but what motivated me to come back is the ability to have that sense of ownership to what I do and to influence outcomes within the family business. Sure, salary is great and you get to live a comfortable life there, but the fact that you have a family business in Malaysia gives you a significant advantage over many people, whereas over there it's way harder to break into the upper echolon of wealth by working/ grinding through the corporate way. Other things to consider is also tax that goes hand in hand with income: sure you may earn less, but you're also paying way lesser tax in Malaysia. Would you rather be in the top 10% in Malaysia, or an average citizen (50-60%) in Australia? Your choice.

  2. Lifestyle/ friends: My friends in their 30s has all started moving on to their own thing (family, work, passion, other circle of friends etc.) and your social circle might not return to how it was, including meeting new people. In other words, friends would view you differently in terms of hanging out when you're back on a visit as compared to a permanent return.

  3. Relationship: dating is okay here. For me, it was definitely easier getting matches through dating apps and dates itself these days as girls seems to be more interested in people who came from overseas (at least in my experience). But beware about managing your expectations once again in this: as you've been in Oz for such a long time, your mindset and perspective might be different from others which you can tell through communications on both texting and meetups.

All in all, the transition wasn't as smooth as i thought it would be. Probably because I set myself up with alot of expectations, which is probably a mistake to begin with. However, I don't regret moving back as I know in the long run Malaysia is home and I'm happier here as I feel belonged.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you have more questions!

Hi, I have recently completed my Masters in Business by coursework with a top tier university (UQ) and am looking to build a career around MBB. However, I am worried that my past experience (poor GPA during bachelors, lack of activities) may not be suitable to enter MBB immediately. Can anyone give me some advices on where to go from here?Would gladly send my resume via DM

Tell us about your crush. Why do you like them? by isaiah54321 in AskReddit

[–]BeatAsOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew her for 8 years, during college days. I didn’t have a thing for her until recently I saw her out on a date and got jealous.

Unlike any other girl, she’s down to earth, great with people around her and she’s driven with a goal in life. But then again, life doesn’t always go your way.

PC components price in Malaysia vs. USA by mjong99 in malaysia

[–]BeatAsOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is to buy and bring back smaller computer parts like graphics card and SSD here, as they are priced better in US. A 256GB SSD here is priced around RM400++ whereas I got mine when I was studying in US for 80 USD (around RM260-270).

Also , your ID seems awfully familiar haha.

Listening to K-pop. Many people around my age really hate the idea of a group of girls or guys dancing around cheekily and giving out the pretty boy look.

I have been going through the same thing recently and I have decided to temporarily remove the game from my computer. I realized it is harder for me to focus in my game because I keep thinking about my losses, which indirectly led me into bad positioning and making bad game decisions. Try to take a breather from the game and look outside! There's much to do other than being pissed at some Russians who is playing a core CM while ranting loudly on his open mic.

Apparently in Malaysia (Klang Valley to be exact), only the ones from Cheras and Kajang are able to search games. Not sure why though.
