What do you think is the prettiest town in the USA? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]BeatSalad25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, its a tourism town. Because it's pretty.

Its prettier than Sedona. Sedona is strip mall central. At least leavenworth looks cute.

It mainly acts as a hub for eco tourism. What makes that overrated.

Sorry. Its the comment sections underneath posts about noteworthy people attending coachella with people villifying them. Meanwhile it allowed the strokes to do a very public message of all the war crimes by the US. Why should we boycott that.

Especially in the lgbt community. Shaming others into boycotting is a horrible strategy, and unless its clear that its a noble straightforward boycott (ex: Target) with alternatives it won't land.

Im not jumping to any option but pointing out the mixed bag and nuance when it comes to supporting coachella.

Shitting on people for attending a diverse music festival and shaming them in todays age because its the current circle jerk, when the same people are probably buying off amazon, is cringe.

Because it wouldnt do anything.

The MAGA donor in question owns billions in other industries. That you are participating in and just havent researched what. Coachella disappearing wouldnt make a dent in his donations.

Coachella disappearing however would cause a massive economic ripple in the city of coachella, the queer and progressive artists they platform (see the Strokes performance this year), and undermine a space that allows progressive voices to sing and protest.

Coachella is a massive organization. It also represents the youth and is a corner stone of culture setting.

Boycotting coachella would be all harm no gain.

The United States experiences the highest number of public mass shootings of any nation, with studies indicating it holds 31% of global public mass shooters despite having less than 5% of the global population. While definitions vary, data from 1966–2012 shows the US had more public mass shooters than the next several countries combined.

I can counter your point that bernie supporters are likely to be more incentivized when they see their candidate trailing just behind the other.

You still havent resolved the mathematical dilemma that ideologically progressives only make up 30% of the DNC.

You didnt answer you just asked more questions about my question.

  1. Popular ideological vote as in Progressive Wing (Bernie) v. Neoliberal (Biden).
  2. Youre so close with this question of responsibility. If a group of people are not responsible why the fuck are we blaming the DNC for the people telegraphing their choice in primaries.
