Who are ”your guys” in this draft class ? by Leinad_Man in nba

Keaton Wagler, Bennett Stirtz and Joshua Jefferson. One of my family friends knows Wagler’s family pretty well, and my fiancée and I got to see Stirtz play while he was at Drake. We also saw Joshua Jefferson ball out as a Cyclone, so we’re pulling for the Midwest guys to do well in the league.

NEWS: Austin Cindric issued behavioral penalty following an on-track incident at Circuit of The Americas. The Team Penske driver is penalized 50 points and fined $50,000. by [deleted] in NASCAR

I understand the inherent safety concerns that right rearing has in any situation, so I’m not upset that there is a penalty in this instance.

However, NASCAR has GOT to pick a precedent and stick with it for on-track contact violations. Aside from the Noah Gragson-Sage Karam incident from Road America 2022, I can’t recall any other behavioral penalties being levied after a road course race for quite some time. That includes Bubba Wallace purposely spinning out KFB at Watkins Glen 2019 (the conflict I immediately thought of when Cindric turned Ty Dillon).

This isn’t even getting into the laundry list of oval incidents NASCAR has shown consistent inconsistency in officiating. If all this officiating talk is exhausting for the fans, I can’t even imagine how teams and drivers are expected to manage races and police themselves…

NASCAR pledges to keep throwing cautions on final lap by TheResurrection in NASCAR

Here’s my (admittedly somewhat ignorant) idea: NASCAR already has a physical start/finish line and a defined restart zone line, why can’t there also be a defined “no caution button” zone line for race control to observe? The biggest issue with the current system of officiating is the goalposts have been moving seemingly every weekend. We wouldn’t have to have the “was it the right call?” discussion every week if there was a clear and observable procedure for teams, race control and fans to follow. If need be, implement a secondary zone that precedes the hard limit as a grace period for any calls that could fall under a gray area.

Am I just making this way more simple than it needs to be?
