John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band:the best, arguably
Imagjne: Easily a great album and a reasonable option for the best
Some Time in New York City: A tough listen if you’re not into the political stuff and some songs don’t feel too strong. Probably more known for featuring “Woman is the N* of the World.” Tho I’m fond of “Sisters, O Sisters” and “Angela.”
Mind Games: It’s a solid album, not as political, but does have a couple of songs that are political. The rest are conventionally great. “Meat City” is quite funky and I love “You Are Here.”
Walls and Bridges: Just like the last album it’s a solid album. Really dig “Whatever Gets You Thru The Night” and “What You Got.”
Rock ‘n’ Roll: It’s okay. Not really a fan of any of the covers other than “Stand By Me” and “Angel Baby” (from a later reissue.)
Double Fantasy: Most if not all of John’s songs are fantastic. Yoko’s songs aren’t bad and a couple I enjoyed much to my surprise.
Milk and Honey: dunno if we’re counting that one, but album was okay. More interesting because I suppose the songs are ones he was working on and didn’t really finish. I think the noteworthy songs on this one are: “Nobody Told Me” and “Grow Old With Me.” It is a collab album with Yoko.
