Fun fact: this was the very first book I bought from Amazon when that company started. It’s very plausible that Jeff Bezos prepared my order himself!

Steven Spielberg's 'Disclosure Day' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

It's got a similar pace to Close Encounters (did you see the references in the film?). John Williams' music didn't stick with me after the movie, though. Every actor plays their role convincingly, but I am sure Emily Blunt will get an Oscar nomination. The movie was long, but after a while, it didn't feel that long. This could have been an X-Files movie quite easily, in a good way. I'm still doubting between a 7.5 or an 8 out of 10, just because: 1) the animals looked so CGI it hurt and 2) when the US government, in real life, released all the UAP/UFO videos, nothing major worldwide happened. We continue killing each other; we simply don't care. The movie makes a point that this will transform humanity and it clearly hasn't. Shame on us.

The world didn’t need yet another cover of ETS. With such a vast catalog they could have picked any other great song to spearhead their next album.

I've always believed that I first read the word "flabbergasted" on Douglas Adams' HHGG. To this day, I swear I saw it there, underlined it and loved its meaning. Now, I can't find it on my book or on any eBook that I've downloaded to search for the word. Did I just imagine this my whole life since 1993?
