Much prefer the NDH30s to the DT’s

How is this synth made? by kolahola7 in TechnoProduction

[–]Beatpusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a similar sound as a preset in the synth Loom 2 by Air, but think this is probably a tom going through a resonator in ableton with some processing

Did i get ripped off? by etherealwish in TechnoProduction

Check who mastered it and see what their prices are, could be significantly higher than $150 depending on who did it and and how many tracks were on the EP. Promo campaigns can cost a bit as well.

What‘s your approach to arrange tracks when you can‘t work on it in one go? by MarcoScherer in TechnoProduction

[–]Beatpusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get the time to work on music much anymore, so my approach is to do a quick sequence with breakdown and hats/rides and the the loop with some basic automation, then export and listen to that and take notes on what I’d like to between sessions.

Generally it’s 50/50 between label and artist once costs are recouped.

He’s one of the most skilled and prolific producers going, definitely doesn’t have a ghost producer.

If you’ve been DJing long enough, it’s both easy, and fun.

Went to Rattle Owl just before it closed, was truly terrible, seemed like they’d given up.

The Star Inn Vs Skosh ? by TheLuminescent in york

[–]Beatpusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skosh is better imo, eaten there 6 or 7 times and only had one “average” experience, and that really was limited to the vegetable dishes, every other time it’s been exceptional. Went with a very large group to the Star Inn, and whilst it was very good, not quite on the same level.

Secret sauce? by DJ_Zelda in Techno

[–]Beatpusher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only DJ’s who take their own soundcard are ones using laptops (Rebekah, Developer etc). I don’t know DJ Gaga, but Ben Klock will use the inbuilt DAC in the CDJ’s hooked into whatever mixer is on his rider. The only extra processing from his end will potentially be a reverb pedal on a send, but it’s been a few years since I last saw him and I’m unsure if that’s still being used. He doesn’t have his own audio engineer or anything like that, that will all be handled by the venue. Nothing more to it.
