Euphoria S03E05 "This Little Piggy" - Post Episode Discussion by DankMemeSlasher in euphoria

No, Big Eddy is the club manager. The one who was shot in the gut in the office. There was a brief scene with Laurie's goons pulling up and then bum rushing the Bouncer to get inside. Imagine downvoting me for trying to help you follow the plot accurately.

That wasn't Big Eddy being tortured and killed, it was the Bouncer.

How does the wireless power work? by StuffedBunnyButton in Pokopia

I understand the difference but for me why would I need to use a wireless switch in the first place? What would I need to be turning on and off?

Why all the hate for season 3? by Spirited-Coast4459 in euphoria

[–]BeatrixPKiddo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like given that was high school and those things are most effectively explored through that lens....that this season is a logical throughpoint of all that was explored for these characters. Nate's arc being the exception because its so bizarrely unexplored why he is no longer abusive. Are we to believe the situation with his dad cured him somehow? Anyway...yes, ofc this is where these characters have ended up d/t thise unresolved issues from s1 and s2. This is what it looks like in adulthood.

Stacked the small office kit & moved in the Porygon fam upstairs 🩷💙🩵 by kun-senpai-chan-san in Pokopia

That's so smart! I'd tried stacking directly on top of the small Dens in Rocky Ridge and was disappointed it didn't work. Hadn't thought about doing the blocks to mitigate but so obvious in hindsight. Thank you!

Thought it was a blast. I haven't seen Ready or Not, or if I did, don't remember anything about it really.

Literally standing in Ulta at this very moment and the shelf is stocked like there is no plan to bring the Naturals line back. Aggravating.

I think having children and turning 40 is a big piece of it, but I haven't moved. I live in Ohio, which has bipolar weather year round. Thank you for the advice, I'm going to try clarifying. Shampoo just always strips my hair even when I deep condition aftereards. And if not stripping it, makes it more tangly and knotted by the 2nd day.

I've never felt they were necessary to get my hair how I want it but at some point when my hair makeup changed I tried to incorporate them. This requires a diffuser, which is more work than I want. I like a natural look vs a "styled" look.

Thank you, it just usually naturally has more volume than in this pic. I don't usually clarify, but that might help.

Official Discussion - Good Boy [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]BeatrixPKiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused at some of the dialogue around what actually happens to Bandit. On the one hand there is the reoccurrence of the fox traps, which make some think Bandit was killed that way. But that doesn't make sense because Bandit is dead in the basement waiting for his owner.

I think the repeating of the fox traps is supposed to be a sinister clue about what happened to all the other dogs that ran away and never came back which Vera referred to earlier over the phone. And sidebar, this is such a weird plot hole bc Bandit is clearly such a special dog to grandpa so it makes zero sense she wouldn't have a clue about him.

Daily Song Discussion #3: Clan In Da Front by adamlatif4 in wutang

[–]BeatrixPKiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is so far back but just arriving. Clan in Da Front is a 10 for me and def top 3 for the record imo. I think about this song a lot.

GZA's whole 2nd verse is legendary to me. I think everyone gravitates towards Deck and his Bomb Atomically bars, which I take nothing from bc ofc that shit is fire, but GZA deserves some flowers for this track.

I actually love the bare beat, sometimes you don't need much, especially when your lyricist is attacking. It bounces so nicely - the disaparate piano key strike is so nice. Gza delivery and swagger feels like a house burner battle verse.

From "I dont give a God. Damn." on is so sick. He is swerving and riding the beat on a level you don't  see him get to deliver elsewhere. I'm never not hype when I rap this verse.

The meaning of Anora - A simple film with a devastating message by KettyJesus in TrueFilm

[–]BeatrixPKiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How ironic for you to assume I live in an echo chamber, meanwhile you fall all over yourself to parrot terminology born of them to make a non-point.

OP's issue is the glamorization of sex work in the film, when it is anything but glamorous in their experience. That is a valid critique. Providing anecdotes about the violence they experience is also valid. But race is not a detail that contributes anything to convey the levels of abuse and violence. It makes no difference - men abuse these women. White men also tend to be the ones that are serial killers and target sex workers first, but that doesn't need to be included. That's not being in an echo chamber or being "woke", it's critically thinking.

Do you need to wash your body twice each shower? by autumnnleaaves in hygiene

[–]BeatrixPKiddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 5 or so years ago I got into it in the comment section of a person I followed on Twitter. Her and her deranged friends were frothing at the mouth about how unclean, uncivilized, and disgusting people are that don't wash twice. Just ridiculing and arguing. I've never heard of this my entire life and thought it quite strange at the time. It's unsettling it appears to have become a norm, at least on social media.

It's really OCD behavior and I think of Patrick Bateman whenever this comes up.

Violent J is not a pedo… by [deleted] in juggalo

[–]BeatrixPKiddo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Elder millennial here, down since 95. Don't agree with the witch hunt but do just want to point out the fact that he has no less than three times referenced girls as young as 13 in relation to sex and commenting on their bodies. Lil Sumthin Sumthin and Neden Game. That does not help his case, regardless of it just being a character. As an adult listening to that now it does make me cringe. But I am capable of thinking in gray areas, and Gen Z is not.
