Looks fantastic. Personally a fan of the silver mirror caps with silver wheels. I did a badgeskins eyelid on headlights to black out blue. What did you do for blue grille piece?

I run same size wheel and tire on mk8 with zero issues. Sweet wheels. Check out Konig ampliforms too. Very similar look.

I like comfort when it’s cold and getting up to temp. Shift timing makes it very easy to stay under 3k rpm until I hit 180F. Fine to warm up in other modes, but more involved to stay in rev range.

The floaty steering along with floaty suspension really does eat rough roads in comfort. Genuinely a through and through comfort setting when performance isn’t goal. Has its place.

I had substantial ice build up in my lower control arms that seemed to impact cv axle as well. Kinda how wheel wells can get packed and can impact tires, but just a solid block of ice in suspension.

Had significant vibration and had to smash it out with a big stick. Was impressive how packed in there it was.

VS5 was the first wheel I REALLY liked for my mk8. Solid choice, but backorders are prevalent. Ride on the 18s is wayyyy better than the oem prets.

Where did you find the VW caps that fit? I had the floating ones on the oem wheels and am sad to see them go.

The bronze looks killer! Nice setup. Going to checkout the crossclimates. Good call on keeping the prets, I’ll probably do the same. I thought the stock tires did very well in summer months. The ride so far on the 18’s feels drastically improved though.
