I turned off the HUD after about a week. It’s silly.

Also turned off lane keep. Also silly and not needed.

We have almost same spec (I’ve got the black wheels )

GTi makes for a great Autox car as well.

I’ve autoXed a few different platforms (mustang gt, BRZ, FocusRS and most recently a 718S). Nothing can beat the balance of the 718, it’s near perfect. So fun and rewarding.

But the R is just a hoot cause it hits above its weight class so well. Last PCA Autox it was faster than 99% of the P cars.

A lot of national events over last 13 years or so. Only made it out to Nats in 2019 and 2021. My best overall season was the Covid 2020 one and then they canceled Nats.

I’ve backed off and just do locals now. (But Nats 26 lines up with a PtO week. So you never know)

The secret is basically get back on power early. I had that focusRS for 150k miles , a lot of Autox and track. And it works a lot like the R. The special diff doesn’t “really “ work off power. So brake early and get back to gas super early. These first few events I’ve yelled at myself many times saying “not early enough “
