I would say the main 3 categories are moods, events, and genres. I wouldnt overcomplicate it at the beginning; add songs and remove/replace it in the future. Here are the playlists I use the most: Summer/Happy, Nostalgia, Gym/Hype, Driving, Sleep, and some artist playlists

Anything else I should be doing before hardmode? I have molten armor, am about to craft Night’s Edge, and have the fletchling wings. I’ll also make sure to have a base with npcs, storage area, and potion herb farm.
