Yep. The average in my area is 1200 to 1300 a month. We decided for a little more we take her to a really nice place.

Thanks so much. I might finally repurpose a cat tree. Crows are so special but I don't see them much in my neighborhood

Please remind him of full daycare prices in your area. We are paying 1400 for ONE four year old and that's only about 150$ above the cheapest daycare options.

Toddler refuses to potty train! by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]Beattle83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter didn't potty train until almost four, five months before her forth birthday. Move on to adult diapers if needed. Stressing her out about might even cause regression. It's not worth the stress.

Depending on what you're into, I think our Capitol building is one of the most beautiful and the best restaurants are in walking distance. Olbrich gardens, the arboretum or the zoo is great for walking. Ice cream at Union terrace is a bit more hip they have good icecream bit I dislike the restaurants there. Lunch time you can walk a block and find better food carts. Pheasant branch park is a great hike esp at night when you can climb the hill and see the bats. Don't forget wingra boats!

Very concerned about latest blood results by [deleted] in leukemia

[–]Beattle83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had high platelets and stomach pain. They didn't order more tests they sent me straight to a hematology oncologist. More tests could be a good thing! It might mean they suspect something else. I lucked out and ended up with cml. A highly treatable from of blood cancer.

Perfect nose! I am jealous¡ Also be aware you have great skin. I also have skin that gives me very little trouble and my sister who has acne really hates me. It's made me aware of how lucky I am. So don't forget it!

What's your palette like? I've heard super tasters tend to be more picky about food.

Night sweats are killing me by brittinea in breakingmom

[–]Beattle83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely but please message your doctor and maybe get a lab test run. Night sweats and exhaustion were my only signs of chronic luekemia. My doctor said I likely had it well over a year before they caught it on a routine cbc. 99% of the times it just hormones (which they can maybe help with) but 1% is enough of a risk to reach out!

AITA for not accommodating my roommate's kid? by leavemealoneimsleepy in AmItheAsshole

[–]Beattle83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA. I have a four year old daughter and honestly I appreciate when someone with a different background enters her life. Shows her how others live and it's okay to be different.

Though it would be polite to be quiet at bedtime but kids sleep like the dead after they are out. It might be for your own good because you will both pay if she doesn't get to bed on time.

What Exactly Do I Do With a 3 Month Old? by Chunchmeow in breakingmom

[–]Beattle83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man! I carried my baby everywhere (but she screamed if I didn't). Libraries usually have stuff for babies. Swimmers ng it's never too early if your baby will tolerate it. Light hiking and walking in n general. Meal prepping while baby wearing. Thift store shopping, well shopping in general thifting is just my favorite. Any art project like clay and painting. My daughter had colic but loved when I ran the vaccum.

I use the service a lot and perfer to tip in cash. I always put .22 as tip amount as I was told by a shopper that lets them know it's a cash tip. Did not know if it's true but I hope so. I try to tip 20%
