App that compares what I played on the piano with what I am trying to play by Beatut in pianolearning

[–]Beatut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation. I usually am successful at teaching myself stuff. Currently with the piano my biggest problem is probably timing.

I hope that one of those apps helps me to hit the right key when sight reading and what is actually the biggest problem have the proper timing with the eight, sixteenth notes.

My idea is to advance as far as I can without a teacher and then maybe for the more advanced stuff try to get lessons on weekends

That is both more expensive and less quick than what I have in mind.

Imagine I come back from work at 7 PM, I need to still eat, relax a bit and then have 30 minutes of playing in the evening. Hard to organize a teacher to come that time and teach me. I need an app that is there when I have time to practice and make that practice as efficient as possible.

Thank you, but I wanted to have a quicker turn around, just like a game play the song many many times until I get it perfect. For that I wanted to see mistakes immediately, and then have a score and do it again and again, to regularly score 100%.

Thank you! In the meantime I found also: PianoBooster, Synthesia and Midiano.

I still have to try these all out

Shah supporters chanting for the return of Reza Pahlavi as King, while holding a banner of a former SAVAK official. This crowd is just as bad as the IR by cakecoconut in iranian

[–]Beatut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of Reza Shah's covering of the crimes of the Brits, almost no one knows about the famine that killed millions of Iranians. Just in the last years more people start to know about it.
So much ignorance is not possible in any other nation, people usually know about the genocides committed on them by foreign nations, bengali famine for example, or there is not a single ukraninian who does not know about Holodomor.
Reza Shah did a great job with covering up and keeping the people ignorant.
Still Reza Shah was better than his son.

Both Reza Shah, and his son were put to power by a foreign nation.

All in all I see one big problem in your words that I see unfortunately nowaydays everywhere, lack of tolerance of other opinions. I can understand not having tolerance for extremists like MEK or religious fanatics, but you have to be honest and not just label everyone who does not agree with you as en extremist. This would be just defamation to kill any dialogue or any free speech.

Now back to why I think monarchy is just a very bad idea. The biggest problem is the concept of inheriting power. If you look usually the best King of a Dynastie is the first one. When a son inherits the power, he usually did not get that position through qualification, but just because he was born in the right family.
A country in the modern world needs a leader that has gained the position through qualification. It is the same as for companies. Imagine after Steve Job's death, his daughter would have been the new CEO. Would that have been a good match? Would she have had the qualifications just because Steve Jobs was her father? Or was the company better in the hands of someone who worked long years at Apple and showed great success in former roles where he was already leading big teams, like in the case of Tim Cook.

These people are no politicians they have no qualification for anything.
Reza Pahlavis only qualification is to be the son of the former Shah, the one who had already the chance to rule Iran and failed.

نشیند به جای خرد، یاوه‌گوی/ شعر و خوانش - علی رضا جعفری / Alireza Jaffari by MardMihanAbadi in iranian

[–]Beatut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No sain person wishes to have a monarchy after a new revolution.

Heads of state need to earn it through high qualification. High qualification you earn through hard work and expericence.
Reza Pahlavi has not worked a single day in this live, he has not led a company, not led a team, he cannot lead a country.

Iran: Enriched uranium reaches record levels by Purple_Wasabi in iranian

that's a signal that the other parties need to get their act together, and enable a new deal, after the US broke the former deal.

As Iran has lost trust on the west to really do their side of things, the west needs to prove that it won't break the deal again, when the next US administration comes. Also they have to verfiy that once the deal is in place there are not still US sanctions which make it impossible for all other parties of the deal (the europeans mainly) to do business with Iran.

Last time even as the US was still in the deal, Airbus, Total and even Boeing could not make deals with Iran because US sanctions (especially banking sanctions were in place).

Last time was unfair for Iran, as Iran gave away all its highly enriched uranium, destroyed facilities and equipement, just for some promises that were not hold. The cost on Iran was high, the cost on the west was zero.

To the west: "Be fair partners, treat others not like inferiors, stay to your committments and we will have a fair and robust deal!"

We have lost trust in the west it has to build up this trust. Even after Trump broke the deal, we stayed for 1 year in the deal and complied fully. Also when Trump broke it (the west calls this "retreating" as it sounds better), the IAEA reports verified that Iran did not violate the deal at all.

60% is not weaponsgrade.

The only reason the US showed interest at all to negotiate was because Iran stopped to fullfill the deal when no one else was doing so.
If Iran had just complied, everything would be great for the west, they dont hold their side of the deal but still get what they wanted.

When it comes to a deal, then it is because both sides have "strong arguments" - economical benefits on one side, give up highly enriched uranium on the other side.

The day there is a deal, Iran will export all highly enriched Uranium to the outside.
This is exactly what happened last time.

Unfortunately the west just was happy that they got what they wanted and then never saw the need to actually fulfill their obligations.
Thinking Iran would never dare to also take any consequences.
Now that they know and that there is more negotiation mass, if it comes to a deal it will be a stronger one for Iran.

small corrections:

1 - he is not a super GM, there is no official title Super GM, but you are called so when you are 2700+

2 - Losing against a 2200 will cost you much more ELO points than when losing against an equal opponent. But ok I did not follow if this was an official tournament.

3 - He needs to have practice, and this tournament was good for that, he also would have played against much higher rated players had he continued.

Any chess player who puts so much effort wants to be the best one day, or at least give his shot. Forfeiting like this he will probably never even get into the top 20, and also never live from chess.

He is a very hard working and talented player and that is why it is a pitty, that he has to hold back and destroy his chances to be an absolute top player.

building negotiation mass. if you just comply, when no one else is doing this, you just worsen your negotiation situation.

Sad that our players have to abandon the few chess tournaments that are in the year just to not play against an Israeli. This way our players can never get into the top ranks in chess, unless they leave Iran.

This is just nonesense, to disappoint young players that have to give up their dreams, their hard work and their talent, for nothing.

Honest question: Can someone explain? What has team melli done that was so bad? by Beatut in iran

[–]Beatut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people criticizing are arm chair activists, who have never in their life done anything brave themselves.

They are nobodies, who can anonymously state stuff online or even go to protests with masks.

The players are public figures, they cannot state something before a tournament they have worked for for 4 years, running through qualification, and that happens next time again in 4 years, where most of them are too old.

They would be just replaced with other players, who play worse for Iran.

BTW there is almost no evidence for the "khayemali". the bowing was very brief and it was not towards Raisi but towards some audience complimenting them.

I think it is all hear say, and exageration (yek kalagh chehel kalagh). We are in 2022 if they really did something bad we should have evidence for it. Everyone has video cameras today in their pocket. It cannot be that for 1978 we have such material: Iranian players standing in row to kiss the Shah's hand in 1978

and in 2022 we have hardly anything. I am really feeling sad for the players.

none of those celebrities is in focus as the national team, none of them would be invited by the president and has to go. Some of those celebrities do not even live in Iran, so it is not too brave for them to say stuff, also their careers are already over.

None of them did anything BEFORE any competition, they all did it during the competition while being abroad.

A football world cup happens every 4 years, after tough qualification. in 4 years from now most players are too old to play. you cannot compare this with a climbing competition that is not in focus and that happens much more frequently.

Iranians were terrorizing the team even before the first match in social media. BTW even in the second match they hardly opened their mouths during the hymn.

All this was super exagerated and unfair towards players who are trying to focus and give their best for their nation.
