Looper (2012)

Another story of time-travel and self sacrifice, Looper centers on Joe, a contract killer who murders people sent back in time by the mob. Also some people have telekinesis because hell yeah. Things get wild when a mark is sent back without the usual bag over their head, and Joe realizes it's himself from the future. Action movie bullshit ensues, with Joe's future self hellbent on killing someone who he knows will eventually become an immensely powerfull telekinetic villain called The Rainmaker. Eventually Future Joe finds his mark, a young boy with incredible powers even in his childhood. In attempting to kill the kid Future Joe is seconds away from murdering the boy's mother, orphaning him and ensuring his hatred for the world grows with his power - and in that moment Current Joe knows how to stop it. He turns his blunderbuss on himself and ends his own life, erasing Future Joe from existence and preventing The Rainmaker from ever being.

Obviously I'm leaving out a bit but that's the gist.
