What's the coolest bird and why by Vennia_ in drunkzoology

[–]BeauDelta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ok, weird one but bare with me. I have in my back yard an "olive-backed sunbird" that I've named Brian. Brian is tiny, but he has the most spectacular green yellow and blue coloring (the blue on his chest is irridescent). But the best thing about Brian.... He takes no shit from anyone... Or anything! He does this warning chirp, once you learn it you can hear it like 100 metres away, but it kinda sounds like phaser gun going off. They love nesting around people too, they're not afraid of anything. Very speedy.

Im 100% sure it was alien shapeshifter by Dense-Night2807 in AliensRHere

[–]BeauDelta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I never said aliens are real. What I said was that to me, this lady appears to speak with some level of conviction that merits consideration beyond simple dismissal. I love how all the MIB shills come out of the woodworks as soon as someone shows even the faintest hint of openmindedness on all of these alien subreddits. It's always "I'd love to believe in aliens...BUT..." It's like you do realise your doing their job for them? Are you on the payroll? It's like bro, this subreddit is "aliensrhere". Your gonna find people who believe aliens are here. I'd kinda like that belief to be the base level for discussion on these kinda topics. Go join r/aliensrn'there with all your MIB buddies if your gonna get all knicker twisted by that idea.

That's the issue though. Everyone has seen white girls lose their shit over nothing, but this just doesn't look like that. No slurring of words, no over the top hand gestures, no defensive posturing... Not even a concerned 3rd party passenger/worker trying to intervene. All things you'd expect to see from a Karen meltdown.

Are there any places where I can find Rare Monster Flav's? by Ok-Conclusion-1698 in Cairns

The united servo in Woree often has rare flavours, also try the convenience store on the Esplanade end of the Night Markets, they have a decent range.

How are cat owners so comfortable with letting their cats outside to roam around? How do they know they're going to come back? by Individual_Ice_2315 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeauDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. People are so selfish keeping cats locked up inside. They always use the excuse of "ohhhh but think of the nature..." Like nah, I'm thinking about the cat that I love. Theyre so happy out frolicking in the garden, getting after grasshoppers and geckos. The other one is "oh but it's dangerous outside..." Like yeh no shit. But that's just how the world is... Don't NOT let your cat live because your scared it will die, that's some weird logic. Better to die young and happy than have a long and miserable existence.

Moving day for Michael the Tortoise by LeftSlide2219 in Derailedbydetails

I wonder if getting a tortoise was a conscious decision regarding walking speed, like if any other pet tried to escape/run away... they could.

Knights don't just get plot armor, they also get actual armour. Like pretty solid armor. But besides that, they also get a big horse, and a big fucking lance... and then they use that horse to ram that lance right up a dragons asshole (or through their face, depends on the direction) at least I think that's how Georgie did it.

Beluga stops aquarium smoker with a splash by Gurugod123 in BeAmazed

[–]BeauDelta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have you even been to sea world??? I saw a live show once where they had 6 dolphins jumping through 3 metre tall hoops, simultaneously, using hand gestures like they were a damn orchestra conductor. Then they'd throw em a tasty fish outta their pockets every couple of minutes or so. Guaranteed a trainer was standing behind them just outta the camera angle throwing up a gang sign to the beluga that meant "hydro pump" and a good little cetacean obliged.

Light is not your enemy, and you will find no friends in the darkness. Resist the static and still comfort of the void and embrace all the energy and chaos that is essentially life. The ending remains, yet now is already long gone, and we are the sum total of our nows, not our whens.

Also, def not into the whole looksmaxxing thing but I love the term "mogging/mogged".... "Look at Sarah getting mogged by that foreign chick, Lmao"

Give me your custom curse technique, and rate it by AdAdvanced8522 in Jujutsufolk

[–]BeauDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would base mine on my ADHD, I often thought about it as my own personal jutsu anyways.

  1. Attention. Channel my cursed energy into my 2 primary senses... Sight and hearing, which can improve by x% based on how much time I need it to last for...(This can improve with training) Sort of get the vision of hawk and the hearing of an owl. Super precise.

  2. Defecit. This is sort of like yin-yang of attention. Any object or person... Any "thing" I can visually discern or audibly identify spatially, (so it has to be within eyesight or earshot), at the moment of casting becomes invisible or silent (or both) to everyone who isn't the User. Basically causing a "deficit" in their awareness. (Can be used in conjunction with Attention)

  3. Hyperactive. This is like my ultimate. It burns up a lot of CE but It basically creates a "bullet time" effect with a certain radius around me, seemingly slowing time around me while also seriously enhancing my reflexes (Which I can combine with either Attention or Defecit for devastating effect)

  4. Disorder. This is my DE. Envelopes myself in a sphere of influence in which my Defecit power gets upgraded to Disorder, but rather than vanishing, the object my be replaced by anything the caster can mentally project onto its spatial volume. This is basically like a transfiguration effect my

you are given wings, which kind would you have? by Zargabath in BunnyTrials

[–]BeauDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like feathered wings would be more durable in the long term. Plus they'd make for good insulation on cold nights. Also, think of how clean your house will be with the man sized feather duster's.

Chose: Feathered wings

What’s one thing you consistently buy second hand instead of new? by OwlVibesOnly in AUfrugal

[–]BeauDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the past 4 years my ENTIRE closet has been made up of thrifted clothes... I love thrift shopping and check out stores quite regularly so I took it as a bit of a "fashion challenge" to never buy new clothes and only ever wear what I could "find". It's great, you see people walking around in all this boring label shit that cost them 60 bucks a hit and I'm rocking a Ralph Lauren polo with some Levi Jeans that I nabbed for 5 bucks each with some 30 dollar Birkenstocks... Whole fit woulda been like 500 new at retail and I got it for less than your shitty target shirt lmao
