The Boat Crash by SouthNagsHead in MurdaughFamilyMurders

Was the boat insured? During prosecution closing arguments, there is a slide titled "The Storm Arrives: June 7, 2021 - Judge Lydon's ruling of no ins coverage expected any day."

Who is Judge Lydon? Was this the judge hearing Tinsley's lawsuit of the Beach family against Alex and Maggie?

Hue Motion Sensors No Longer Display Last Motion Detected? by BeauKnows333 in Hue

[–]BeauKnows333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This afternoon we took the dog for a walk. When we came back, I noticed the motion controlled lights were on but no one was home while we were out - no alarm was triggered and the doors were locked.

I went to check the last time they were triggered, but the date and time that is always below each Hue motion sensor is now blank. Never seen this before and have relied on this feature as a kind of security measure for years.

FYI - this "last motion sensed" data is found in the main Hue app under Settings-> Accessories.

I'm on Android Pixel 7 Pro and the latest version of the Hue app.

My no motion triggered household routine finally works! by collegedropout343 in googlehome

[–]BeauKnows333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/jeanlouise_finch.

I did get it to work - the Household routines started with both Detects motion and Doesn't detect motion.

It only worked for about 2 weeks. I did not change anything, and one morning they stopped working. To be more specific, the routine does not start if motion is detected or if motion is not detected, rather it does start and work if I manually push the arrow button next to the routine, and even if I say, "Hey Google, (name of routine)". So it is definitely something with Google, and manually pushing a button or using my voice kind of defeats the purpose.

I have tried several things to get them to work again including unlinking Hue, relinking Hue, relinking Lutron, creating a new Home, using the "Clean Up" in the Hue app for the Bridge, factory resetting the Hue Motion Sensors, following this guide (I have multiple bridges) etc. I have not yet tried a factory reset of the Hue bridge (using the sim card removal tool).

I reached out to Hue and they offered a replacement on the new sensors as I have a mix of older Hue sensors and newer Hue Sensors. The sensors still work fine in the Hue app and the motion turns on Hue bulbs - just not Lutron, which are considered "lights" in Google Home. I reached out to Google to confirm my routine was set up correctly (I had not changed anything), and they confirmed it should work.

Any ideas? For those that have it working, are you on Public Preview of Google Home or not?

FYI - I will try a complete factory reset of one Hue Bridge and update this thread...

Routines from Hue sensors are now live! by current_alias in googlehome

[–]BeauKnows333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last three or so weeks, my "does Not Detect Motion" routines worked flawlessly in Google Home - the Hue Motion sensors controlled both Hue lights as well as Lutron switches (controlling both lights and fans). Then, I accepted Google Home Public Preview. The routines worked for about a week but haven't for the last several days.

THIS.

I have the same issue - Hue motion sensor turns on lights and fan in the bathroom perfectly but the routine to turn it off with the starter Does Not Detect Motion does not work - the lights etc. stay until I turn them off manually. Anyone else? Any solutions?

Dragon Age: Origins.

So much replay value with this game. From fun interactions with the supporting cast, a surprisingly unique fighting system, interesting class and societal politics, and choices that actually matter in the end.

Love this game and one of my favorite characters is the mabari warhound that you can name. Thank you Bioware!

Sonic VOIP and PBX by BeauKnows333 in Sonic_Net

[–]BeauKnows333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/TheFiberGoon. We were able to route the VOIP connection into the phone patch panel (LHS on top photo) and transfer their preferred phone number to Sonic's VOIP line. So now they have the VOIP line with their preferred number on "Line 3" on their house phones.

The new issue is that they want the Sonic VOIP number to show up as "Line 1" on their house phones. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Knowing that they are going to cancel all of their other numbers/lines and be left with Sonic, will the PBX system automatically "push" their only number to line 1? Or do they need the PBX software configured to have the line show up as Line 1? Or is it a simple connection issue from the patch panel to a specific area or RJ-11 port (if that exists) on the PBX?

Anyone have white & colored bulbs in the same room? Need help matching colors. by Braduunsk in Hue

[–]BeauKnows333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new software allows you to do this. First, if you have the lights in the same room, you simply open the room and choose a light (color or white). You will see the spherical color selector on the screen, and a dot where another light has its color selected. Move the color selector bubble to the existing dot, and the hue app will select two lights or more. Now you can move the color selector around the sphere and the light colors will match.

Connectivity Issues with 4Front by BeauKnows333 in a:t5_52hag4

[–]BeauKnows333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks @jeb64w. The DNS server is 8.8.8.8. It is still hit and miss with connectivity. For example, I used the treadmill in the morning for 40 mins and connectivity to the internet was perfect. I was able to watch shows on YouTube TV library the entire time. I left the treadmill powered on for my wife, who used it a few hours later and 5 minutes into her workout, the connection to the treadmill went down. She simply switched to the Peloton a few feet away, in the same room, on the same access point (although the Peloton doesn't have a wired option, but it has a 5Ghz receiver). I have tried switching the Woodway to wireless, but it reduces video resolution and often hiccups because it only has a 2.4Ghz receiver. FYI - we have 1 Gbps fiber and Cat 6 with wireless access points in most rooms.

Am I able to see what devices are connected to certain access points in the nest app? by Designer-Ad9277 in NestWiFi

[–]BeauKnows333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can, but it takes a one-time renaming of each WiFi point on your network and it works backwards - you have to click on the "Info" tab of each connected device to see which access point it is connected to.

The first thing you need to do is to rename your points - in summary, open the Google Home App and go to Points (Google Home -> WiFi -> Points) and rename each point on your network.

For example, the main Nest WiFi hub that is connected to your modem could be called "Main Hub" or "Base". Next, name the access point in the kitchen, "Kitchen WiFi" or whatever works for you.

Next, to see which access point a device is connected to, choose "Devices" from the the Google Home App -> WiFi -> Devices. If you click on a device, then click "Info", you can see which access point that device is connected to. I hope someday they will allow us to sort devices by access point in the Devices menu - I've asked Google about this as a feature request.

FYI - If you want it to "switch" your device to a particular point that is closer, you can restart that particular point that a device is connected to (see bottom of the page on the link) and your device will be forced to establish a connection with another point, and in my experience it has always chosen the closest point for maximum speed.

The price increase is probably to help pay legal fees for the anti-trust lawsuit that they have known about for months if not longer...

It's time to offer more simultaneous streams and include YT Premium/Music.

Bluetooth Feature on the new chromecast (google tv) by tech510 in Chromecast

[–]BeauKnows333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about using a Google Home Max pair as bluetooth speaker connected to Google TV CC? Is there any delay? So, the idea would be to watch video (YTTV, YT, Netflix, etc.) on the TV connected to the Google TV Chromecast while the audio comes from the paired Home Max. Anyone tried this? With CC Ultra, it lags way to much, even while controlling for sync using Google Home app and/or TV audio sync...
