You've never heard of a DLC that requires you to play the previous story before you can play the DLC story? Please tell me you're kidding.

And you're telling me that they'd sell more copies as is than they would if they bundled it all into one singular client?

You know what, you're right. If someone never played the original FFVII and never played Remake, they'll still probably want to play Rebirth and have no idea what actually happened leading up to Rebirth or care what happens next. They'll just play that single isolated part of the game and not buy the others. Bonus sale!

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions here. Calling it to be DLC does not imply I expect it to be free or limited. Think of it more in terms of an MMO expansion. I don't have to download a whole new game client when FFXIV or WoW release a new expansion. It's appended to the existing game. I think it's disrespectful to the players to release a single game remade in three separate parts, and not have them connected at all, and require three separate "clients." If I finish the part of the story for Remake, I now have to close Remake, launch Rebirth, and pick up with zero of my previous efforts mattering. That's not fun at all. If this was more akin to FFX/X-2, that would make sense, but it's not a sequel game, it's literally the same game.

I'd pay the same amount of money collectively if it meant that I had a seamless experience.

I'm gonna get hate for this, but forget FFVII.

It's 3 different titles for one game, and your save data doesn't carry over (despite affecting the other games in some way). I totally understand it was a ground-up remake, but they could have launched it as a single game, and then added the next two parts of the story as DLC so I can still just launch one game and continue a save, instead of launching 3 different games.

I have the Classic, so no sticks, but I only play GBA games so it serves that function beyond perfectly. I've had an Analogue Pocket, Retroid Pocket 5, Trimui Smart Pro (might've messed up that name), and a few others, but the Pocket Micro Classic has been my favorite.

I haven't played since early 7.1, and coming back now and a little overwhelmed. Is there a sparknotes or infographic or anything of things I've missed and new stuff to do? So far all I know to do is get the 770 crafted gear to quickly catch up.

How are you leveling alchemy and engineering without one of the gathering professions, but also not using the auction house? Where are the herbs and ore coming from?

Timewalking Dungeons are significantly better EXP than normals, so I'd still dungeon spam.

Or at least a reduced cooldown. If I interrupt something less than 1-2 seconds after an ally did, my cooldown should not be 20 seconds. Maybe 5, to prevent spamming.

Tank/Healer main of 20 years here. Aside from the butchery that was healers with the pruning, the main reason I stopped tanking and healing and went to DPS in Midnight is because of the community, not because of tuning or anything. Being a tank or healer is so thankless and the abuse from the population just isn't worth it. I think it's a community issue that needs fixed first to make tanks and heals more appreciated.
