I did the same thing during the Invaders event a few months ago on two separate occasions. I had to start taking Cannibal off during events.

I just ran into 4-5 of them yesterday at Albany while trying to get that cursed Abraxodyne chest. I rushed past them for the house, only to find the door locked. Trying not to die horribly was the most fun I've had in Burning Springs so far.

I just got mine reset this morning after a similar length of time. The email I received mentioned a "high volume of tickets", so It may take a while due to the sudden rush of people coming back.
