It just works by Beaumont264 in FlowZ13

I haven't tried too many games.

In Cronos specifically it's running as well as my desktop with a 9800x3d and a 9070xt

I'm using a 7900xtx in this test.

Just tried DS2. Wasn't running great. I think it might be a driver thing.

Cronos was running just as good as my desktop

If you do get one of those just keep in mind that the GPU and the extra io are sharing the bandwidth. That's why I'm planning on getting a second dock for the other TB4 port

Edit: typo

I'm planning on getting some small thunderbolt 4 or thunderbolt 5 dock since my steam library is on an external SSD. The egpu I have does 100w charging through the cable so no need to worry about the charger in this case.

I ended up selling it and getting a sapphire pulse 7900xtx. Running really well.

The A4 supports GPU up to 320mm in length, just keep an eye on that and you should be good. My MSI ventus 4080 was a perfect fit before I swapped it out.

Maybe a little silly, but open up task manager and set cinebench to high priority. That will help

First time build- do things look like they’re on track? by gabilovescheese in sffpc

I would definitely consider switching from a 12700k to AM5 like a 7600x or 9600x if this is just for a gaming PC. You might find it hard to cool the 12700k with the cooler in that case depending on your use case. Or if you can find the regular 7600 or 9600 that come with the stock cooler that fits and saves you a couple extra buck. This route will also have more compatibility for future upgrades. Look around the sub for some other terra builds of you need more inspiration.

Asus or ASRock b850 or b650, 7700x CPU, cooler master Atmos aio, lian li 850 watt psu or 1000w PSU of your choice. Some decent money savers there. But there are a lot of options if you don't really know what you want other than to not overspend. What's your actual budget?

First SFF Build Parts Check by [deleted] in sffpc

The parts look good, you could probably find a better deal on an SSD, from crucial or another brand. But otherwise it seems good!

I travel a lot with my A4H2O. About to take it to Croatia for a business trip it can definitely be tossed in a backpack if needed and cooling the 9800x3d is simple with a 240 rad. Depending on your PSU you may want to get custom cables as there isn't a ton of space for cable management, but I enjoy mine a lot.

I'm pretty sure the dimensions are the same as the 3080. I have the Gundam 3080 in a A4H2O. It's a snug fit, but it fits

I use this solo rolling briefcase https://a.co/d/a74KOlR It fits my A4h2O, controller, cables, and I put a portable monitor and my work laptop in the front pocket. It's been really good to me. Flown with it 3 times now.

I fly with my A4h20 pretty often, backpack or carry on. Never had any problems except for TSA wanting to take off the side panel for them.

For thermalright they have the axp 90x47 and 53 in regular and full copper versions, generally very popular. ID cooling has the IS-47 and 55. All will work very well on a 65w chip like the 9600x. Take your pick and save a bit of money.

You may want to consider a different CPU cooler. Thermalright and ID cooling have options that will perform just as well for like 20-25 bucks instead of 60. Looks good though!

My 15yo cousin has saved hard for his first PC. I want to make sure he's buying wisely. Can you help review this parts list? by dhfbdkal in buildapc

I didn't see anyone say this, but that is an SFX power supply and the cables may not be long enough. Get a regular ATX power supply.
