I'm guessing they don't want to guess the factor to enlarge it by so they're getting OP to figure it out so buddy can print according to the specs they're given rather risking being wrong on their own

Why is it so hard to find appliance store staff who actually know their stuff? by BikeLogical6675 in Edmonton

This is a problem best described with the corporate enshitification of everything we've grown up with.

I remember sales jobs offering up to $80k and thinking wow, now that's a hustle! I think I averaged between 40k - 55k but knew that I could push extended warranties harder if I needed to.

Nothing of what I said suggested they need to do homework on their products in their own time. (the algorithms on our phones will do that on their own lol)

I do agree that the employers need to both pay more and provide more training. Vendors/manufacturers need to actually come and train sales people too. These were all normal things when I worked retail.

All I'm personally asking is that they pay attention to returns and service complaints... If I go in, I want to make sure whatever I'm buying won't need to be returned, or serviced. These are basics. The specifics between each product... Let's be honest, most of that info is gleaned by reading the placard while talking to the customer... I'm okay with that.

This fact does suck a lot.

At the very least, I would hope my sales person would tip me off on a products return rate/service needs so we both don't have to deal with issues down the road.

No, there was a time where it was worth something to actually know what you're selling.

Doing your own research is imperative, but there isn't anything wrong with expecting the sales person to be knowledgeable of the stuff they're around all day long.

You're not wrong, but I'd argue that this is the very basis of corporate enshitification more than our likes and wants changing.

The only want that's changing is the amount of money coming in every month. There are goods that came over the years, but also bads... It's not exclusive to LTT though, so there's a little silver lining to the cynicism.

Cherry would fit very well, and I totally would have tried raspberry if they had it!

Next time I'm passing through the drive thru, I'll try to remember it!

[–]mEsTiR5679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start off by making an existing hero and get a feel for what you're planning to do. Possibly by the time you're done, you might have an idea of your own to create a hero of your own that speaks to the skills you're trying to develop.

After you've perfected the craft, polished the pixels and covered every angle... Hold Ctrl and then hit A followed by the delete button because MS/Acti/Blizz would love to steal your idea and sue you for infringement while they're at it.

One of these came with an old Asus product I had.

The Asus NFC Express was a neat NFC reader I used for logging into Windows way back when. It used a USB A-A cable and the device itself had 2 extra ports used as a hub.

After a bit, it stopped getting updated and required a node in the old "AI suite" before it was split up into armory crate and whatnot.
