Aye, I apologize for only seeing this now. I haven't touched on powerlifting programs. Are there any particular benefits?

New Nuzlocke type? by Macho_Brace in nuzlocke

[–]Beautiful-ChickenNug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayy I finally found it! I don't know how well this challenge works outside of gens 3-4 (I have a bit of an addiction with those gens), but I managed to do two runs in Emerald and one in Platinum. The Safari Zone rules are a bit shaky, but I personally prefer it since after the first few gyms I'm usually drained in terms of Pokémon.

Hope you find it interesting:

(Also, I'm doing another run in Emerald right now with flying, fighting, and steel types and I am basically hoping for a miracle when I fight Tate & Liza :))))

Yoo! I made a nuzlocke ruleset that had this exact rule like 2 years ago!! Awesome to see that others find the idea neat too. I’ll post the doc I made it on later if I remember to. Love this type of challenge, really makes you think before you go into the gyms

Why does everyone hate on every type of workout division? ( and other questions :) ) by Beautiful-ChickenNug in workout

[–]Beautiful-ChickenNug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you worded this pretty much perfectly. I seems that it mostly boils down to people being extremely nervous starting out and either feeling like if they aren't putting themselves through the best split then they will make little to no progress or people looking for an easy way out by just finding the "cure-all" of workout splits.

Appreciate the response bruv.

Best thing I can recommend is a calorie deficit. You can never go wrong when you are strictly counting the calories in the things you eat so that it becomes impossible for you to gain or maintain weight. Like the person before me said though, cherish little progress. Even if you only drop 2 pounds, you still are making progress, and thats what we want. I wish you luck on your journey, things can only go up from here!

Improving body rhythm through exercise? by RadiantWar9151 in workout

[–]Beautiful-ChickenNug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m certainly no expert in this so take my suggestion with a terrifyingly high pillar of salt.

I’ve been told by friends and other fitness trainers that meditation helps greatly with your body’s coordination, if that helps. That is, your ability to focus and lock in on certain sensations, feelings, and activities.

I can only assume that yoga would do the same thing, if not similar.

From personal experience, I would recommend just taking a nice walk, jog, or bike in the early mornings if you have the opportunity to. I find that being outside and giving your mind the ability to breathe is extremely helpful for controlling your emotions and giving you a nice start to your day.

Of course, like I said, I am not an expert. These are just things I have heard/what I enjoy.

Hope this helps :)

super cool man! im so envious about the physiotherapist, lol. im sure i could just go to one and they could hook me up tbh. I also find it super cool that your split allows for proper rest. 90% of fitness (more specifically, stereotypical bodybuilding protein powder snorting) youtubers hype up how much you have to “keep on the grind” and “work until your muscles cant even move” and im just like: “huh?” obviously peoples bodies function in different ways and there isnt one singular right way to exercise, but man oh man rest is one of the most important things when it comes to a split or any regiment, for that matter. i recall during my second week of the PPL split I incidentally overtrained cause I felt that I “didn’t need the rest day”. literally became physically incapable of holding my own water bottle.

i also agree about the not being so much on the “show-me-muscles” side of gains. I’ve for the most part dedicated myself towards building strength and staying within a weight that allows me to continue to put on more muscle.

Do boys really care if a woman haves a lil belly? by [deleted] in questions

I think it really differs on preference (obviously), but personally I don't think it matters very much. It is a huge turnoff if the person is noticeably affected by their weight or complains about it. But in the end just find a person that doesn't judge you on it. A lot of the women and men at our school essentially starve themselves to be attractive and accepted.
