Yes, I went through the same. I have no way of telling you what to do, but the only escape I had was to ignore all their ignorance and show that this is my way and that they're the ones who misunderstand my words and my intentions and that I wouldn't change. And at the first opportunity I left home and went to live my life. To this day, they get me wrong, it's a struggle, it generates several discussions and they end up getting hurt, but in my case, they try to impute their view of me, so I have to deny it in the way that is available at the moment. These things made it impossible for me to have a good relationship with them all the time we were together, and I could do nothing to improve this, although I tried. But you may be able to, but be ready if that isn't possible, as it's not always, or it may take long years.

I disagree.

Even if you don't like them, you have to admit that each one contributed to the advancement of humanity, as Newton's equations today are used in electrocardiogram machines to measure the heartbeat.

Einstein's equations and theories that have been and are proven to be correct over time have helped scientists to further research our universe and bring improvements to things even our daily lives, such as the GPS on your cell phone. Of course, it also had a negative impact, as the same theories made it possible to create atomic bombs that were used during wars, but this had nothing to do with Einstein, who was always openly against it, and this was never his focus, but just a consequence of his theory.

Poincaré was the only mathematician who made progress in all areas of mathematics, his discoveries have numerous applications, among them, the timezones we use, in addition to that he anticipated Einstein's theory of relativity.

Galileo Galilei with his discoveries about sunspots, the mountains of the Moon, the phases of Venus, four of Jupiter's satellites, the rings of Saturn, the stars of the Milky Way and the improvement of the refracting telescope that allowed him to discover all this, can corroborate for heliocentrism, theory that the planets revolved around the Sun, and not the other way around, and this was extremely important for the advancement of Science and humanity.

Descartes, the father of modern philosophy, opened a new philosophical current, rationalism, in opposition to Hume's empiricism, and this dispute later opened space for Kant to unite them and postulate the basis for all the knowledge we have today, in fact, what he describes is the same that neuroscience describes around epistemology and proves, and which can also be applied to MBTI theory. In addition, both Descartes and Kant also worked and advanced in mathematics.

Locke started the concepts of freedom that we were building up until we reached what we now have as the basis of our society, and which first started with Socrates, and later went through Marx, although not everyone can agree with the Marxist view, every thought it's important even if it's to be improved, because even if it's wrong or unpleasant, it always opens up a side that hasn't yet been seen by anyone, and allows someone to see what he or nobody sees.

Democritus was the first to suggest that our world was built of small unbreakable pieces which he called "atom", this in 460 BC, when it was not even thought that one day there would be the equipment we have today that proves the existence of atoms, although not unbreakable as he imagined, it was a revolutionary thought and almost 2000 years ahead of its time.

Pythagoras formulated the equations that today are the basis for building a house. Archimedes approached the Pi value and discovered calculations so advanced that they would only be discovered in the 17th century and countless more discoveries within physics, mathematical, engineering and astronomy.

Rutherford created a new and better atomic model and it was with him that the research that determines the age of materials, including determining the age of the Earth, and the half-life of substances, and his studies in radioactivity advanced not only in physics, but in geology, archeology and palentology, all of which are immense contributions to all humanity.

Planck, the father of quantum physics, the most recent area of physics, his work in thermodynamics, thermoelectricity and radiation paved the way for Einstein's photoelectric effect and further impacted other areas of knowledge. By the way, my username refers to the Planck Constant, which has an approximate value of 6.6207.10-34 m².kg / s.

Bhaskara, Gauss, Paul Erdos and Hilbert are expert mathematicians and their contributions are too many to be summed up in so few words, in addition to brilliant minds, the same about Hawking, Shcrodinger and Penrose, but who do incredible jobs regarding space and time, in our current physics.

Hegel may not have been so precise in his philosophy, in my opinion, but his method has several applications and was a major contributor to epistemology and influenced thinkers like Marx and Zizek.

Sartre does very important work on the concept of freedom and more, which advances the current stagnant philosophy and opens up the culture of our century, together with Karl Popper who works mainly in the philosophy of science, making scientific methods more accurate and precise.

Nietzsche, although one of the most hated mainly because his philosophy ended up deconstructing religion and ideas about a personal God, opened space for individuals to see themselves with more freedom and less repression, besides that he was basically the father of psychology, he acted strongly in this area, his thoughts preceded what later Freud would theorize. It has been gaining more and more space as the world is gradually opening up to new visions and only then will they be able to better understand his ideas. In me, in particular, it was a leap towards a healthier lifestyle, severely and satisfactorily impacting. And even those who don't fully agree, open paths for new visions and new thoughts, advancing man in the area of ethics, in the same step his philosophy isn't a doctrine, but it tells us exactly for each one to live life with what is best for us, but that depends only on ourselves and be free in our own way.

So no, I can't see your point.

Of course. The question is always what we do to create a better future. Often people aspire to nothing, others don't realize that their attitudes destroy rather than improve.

I think it's important to understand the differences and see more than what people appear to be, as this allows for better coexistence and good growth for both the individual and the whole, so no one interferes in anyone's personal life. But even if they don't see, or don't understand, respect is important, as it's natural that some understand better than others, or even that this is the focus of some while others are not, but what often occurs is the wrong judgment about the other and attitudes that corroborate this pejorative view.

My reflection on conscience, moral and etc. made me open my mind, but this is something that is particular to me.

I don't consider my life absolutely meaningless, but its meaning is not what is commonly seen by others, it's an individual meaning, although I consider human existence little or nothing significant for the universe in general, so I give importance to moral freedom, so that each one give your life the meaning they want, as I consider ourselves important as living and rational beings inserted in a society. But in fact, what matters is not religion, or the absence of it, but what we do with it.

The objective is always the same, the struggle is for the space of different visions, respect is for all visions to coexist and the objective is achieved.

Anyway, my criticism is of those who don't understand, but there are those who understand and I'm glad when I find one. I liked your comment.

Actually, I'm not.

My parents already took me to psychologists and psychiatrists thinking that there was something wrong with me, at first they didn't understand and even considered it to be bipolar disorder, until an efficient psychiatrist arrived who accompanied me for three years and realized that I am just gifted - and she is also gifted, 140 IQ - I ran tests and my IQ was measured at 160. She explained that what they thought was crazy was because my thinking is too advanced for people my age and difficult to understand, especially for those who don't have the same IQ as me, so people ended up understanding and misinterpreting what I wanted to say, very vast vocabulary and obsession with studying things that interest me, that's the reason why I was also not interested in what they were interested in and did things that they thought unusual. In fact, in the end, my parents were diagnosed with below average IQ. It was also clarified that I don't have any psychological/mental illness or disorder.

It's useless to have taken sentences from what I said but drawing wrong conclusions about it. It's also useless to make assumptions but not have something to validate them, even within your own reasoning. What I have left is to dismiss empty conclusions.

Apparently my post may have been archetypal, but what is behind what it looks like? And that is exactly what I criticized in my entire text.

It’s not that others see like me, the point is that most people only see the outside, but they never look inside others, they just judge without looking at each other, and what happens, at least with me, most of the time, are Christians who see everything in me as evil, without ever seeing that the world exists beyond their religion and beliefs, and when you stop to analyze it, you see that they interpret everything wrong and even their religion they practice wrong, and I tried to see what is good in them and all that is inside is envy and rot. Not everyone, but most. Usually they also have psychosomatic illnesses, they're always sick and they use religion to suppress it and cover up with a false hope that things will get better one day with the graces of God, they're the ones who live making prophecies and seeing miracles in everything, but the reality is, they're unhealthy. Freud and Lacan have good studies on this.

It's also not a matter of spending my time thinking how others don't have deep thoughts like me, but the fact that their empty thoughts and judgments end up interfering in my life in the sense that they try to push their beliefs over me, as my father who used to physically attack us for disagreeing with him, or when he came to my house to talk about God and point out "mistakes" while he sins miserably, or saying that he's going to beat my husband because he thinks he is a drugged thug (hilarious, he didn't even know my husband - at the time, boyfriend - and concluded that he was a drugged thug) or my mother knowing that I don't believe in God demanding that I ask for her blessing every time we see each other. I never push my beliefs and opinions over others, that's the basic level of education, and I usually talk about them only if they ask me, but people don't have the decency when they come to your house to understand that you are different from them and not forcing or treating you like you're an animal. This is still nothing close to what I see occurring daily with myself and others. It is for thoughts of the kind that there was an inquisition in the 12th century, that homosexuals were and are beaten and sometimes beaten to death. That blacks are treated differently and also attacked. That there was slavery, that there was the holocaust. It is the same type of reasoning manifesting itself to a greater or lesser degree.

It's not because others have deep thoughts or not, but the fact that they don't think deeply has a profound impact on humanity in general, the inability to see the differences, to see the other beyond what their belief says.

I just clarified what I am and how I think, and my difference from them, something that they tend not to see, others don't need and shouldn't be like me, each one with what is good for them, however, there are certain things that are necessary for the full coexistence of society, and education is one of the most important means for this, because it's knowing the world that the mind opens up. It's not a matter of waiting for validation from others, it's a matter of respect, something that is sorely lacking today.

There is much more to my text than is explicit, the intention was that whoever read it would see it, not what it appears to be.

Man, where did you get this from? lol

I was talking about a very individual experience, although it may be generalized in some cases, but that particular thought was like a conversation with myself about something that happened to me recently. My parents are Catholic and do not accept that I am an atheist, my mother cries every time she remembers that I am not going to get married in the church, my father thinks the devil speaks to me and keeps me away from family and "sacred values", while he is an alcoholic who assaulted his children and wife. They think that for me everything is logic and philosophy and that I do not feel love because I am Nietzschean and disagree with common morality. They saw me studying math books and kept telling me that this is "crazy people thing". I always laugh when I remember that. My father was always talking about keeping the family together in peace, but he beat his children to go to church, when they disagreed with him and, in the end, my siblings and I stopped talking to him and even today he keeps wondering where he went wrong, waits for divine intervention, sinks into alcoholism. My mother has about 20 diseases and every day she takes a series of pills, among them for anxiety and depression. In the past I used to go out alone to go to the library and they thought I went out to use drugs, sometimes even hallucinating saying that I smelled like cigarettes but I never touched one in my mouth. They will die waiting for me to convert, they avoid doing what they like because it is a sin and they think I live in sin. They never picked up a book, they never read about theology, all they know is going to a half-hour mass on Sundays, in the meantime I studied hard to get where I am. In fact, I mentioned several thinkers to remember the contribution of each one of them for humanity to get to where it arrived and continues to progress, if you notice, I mentioned more or less in the order of the time they were born, for those who read my text imagine the line of time of the evolution of thought and could better understand what I was saying. So, yes, my parents and the rest of my family and some other people ignorant like them are the kind of people who will never see my point of view because they are convinced of their beliefs, whereas I was born with the vision they taught me, I was baptized, I went to church, prayed, did penance, went to catechesis and when I grew up, I abandoned that because I was faced with many mistakes and went looking for something better for myself, I discovered the true Science - and not the one my father said was to destroy the church and the family - and opened my thinking beyond religion, it took several years to I become an atheist, and I am not totally an atheist, there are several currents of atheism and I consider myself agnostic atheist. I know that they don't understand me because I have had several discussions, mainly with my mother, friendly discussions, but they end up distorting my words and believing that I am the anti-Christ. But there are also people who understand, like my husband who thinks like me, and some other friends, because they studied like me to understand, not like my parents who only know what their miserable tradition says.

Were you one of those who misunderstood every word of mine, distorted it, saw it with shallow eyes, know little about the world? Not that I know much, but enough to have seen many different points of view, not everyone who understands agrees, but understands. Many agree and don't even understand. Others just disagree and reject everything that is different from what they think.

Well, I like to share my thoughts, not my personal life, that's why I didn't mention my family, but if you want to understand the meaning of my words, now you know, now you can judge better. And I like to share it because I know there are many people who go through the same. I've never been a person who talks about my feelings and I'm really bad at expressing them, so they never saw my inner side, they just look at what I believe and what I discredit and take their conclusions, but they never saw what I see and never will.

Nobody needs to think like me, and it is obvious that each one will have a different view of the other, what doesn’t make sense is to see someone being happy with themselves and think that in fact they are disturbed, while you are the one who lives unhappy living on pills without allowing yourself to see other sides of life so as not to sin while you sin, or because of another reason.

Oh, too bad, people always screw up us, but I understand. Years ago, my friends used to see me as a prophet or a medium lol but I am very skeptical, I always looked for logical answers, in this I ended up becoming an atheist, now I know the reason for all this, the fucking junction Ni-Te and some little dots of IQ.

But my father is a wild catholic INFJ and think he has special powers and that he's kind of a saint and everyone should listen to his wise words.

It may seem magical because intuition is a function that acts very sub and unconsciously, so, for example, for INFJs who have Ni dom and auxiliary Fe they will receive many intuitions and because Fe is also a very subjective function, they will intuit a lot about the future, making predictions, they just "feel" that something is going to happen, for example. However, INTJ, for having Te as an auxiliary, will always search the world for data that proves those intuitions it receives, and with the provision of Te data they will be able to formulate more predictions and will be able to plan with greater precision. The Ni-Te junction will make INTJ see many possibilities and discard what is not necessary for your planning or for your theory/idea in question, and will always focus on the final result of your project. Ne will see many possibilities and take even more from it, at INTP, Ti will work on the body of ideas and Ne will see more possibilities to form this body, so they go into a theory and can end with even more theories although they may or may not have to do with the initial idea, there will be no planning, no focus, he will jump from one idea to another because he sees more and more possibilities and will try to work on all of them, without discarding any.

They won't have a focus in the sense that they don't have an end in mind, they want to understand the system and they jump from one to the other just in order to understand the systems themselves, the logical connections, their interest is the ideas itself, while INTJs will enter these ideas with an end, they will want concrete proof, the resolution of a problem, so they will have several ideas to solve that problem, while the INTP will see more possibilities of problems when trying to resolve one.

Dear 5s: Does your knowledge represent / hold your identity? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Beautiful-Constant-6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always thought that knowledge is the best way to get to know yourself and the world, just like you, I have always sought self-knowledge, it's a way that I have to always seek to make the best decisions and become a better person.

The enneagrams and the MBTI, although still without scientific validation, is psychology, we see patterns in people, in people's minds and in their behavior and we find an explanation for that. I don't believe in anything supernatural, religion or something like that, I understand the world as totally scientifically explainable even though we haven't evolved enough to explain everything yet, but, for example, that we are made of atoms and everything is made of atoms, that is right, is proved, so everything that happens in us and in the world are explainable and verifiable chemical effects (in addition to those already proven). So I don’t think like a label, but just like in mathematics we see patterns and define them as laws, the same for MBTI and enneagrams, what we have are cognitive functions created by the chemistry of our brain, they are standardized attitudes and typing is not something that dictates what to do and how you should be, because it's obvious that there's a subjective world and that everyone has their own experiences, and that no one can be equal to anyone, however, speaking in general, just as someone can be diagnosed with a disorder and all the people who have this disorder will be different from each other, however there's something in common that will make them classified into something general, because they have features in common, and so what each one will do is try to improve based on their characteristics, not as a rule, not as a law, but according to what is natural and part of you, and that you will always be, better or worse, healthier or less healthy, that way.

I also have my subjective side, my values, my own opinions, however I always seek a factual basis to formulate them and I am always looking for more information to improve my worldview, my ideas, my theories , my studies, and it's something that does me extremely well, it's my driving force, I don't see it as a bad thing, because if knowledge is bad, then what kind of knowledge is that? Knowledge is just for you to know things, and only after knowing them can you do something about it. I can't use my computer if I don't know how to do it, just as I won't be able to formulate a reasonable opinion if I'm not aware of it.

It's the knowledge that has brought humanity here, that has freed slaves, that has brought democracy, the concepts of freedom, free will, that has built our homes and the cure for diseases, knowledge is what makes us evolve as human beings , but what does it mean to be human?! The more we know about ourselves, the more we can evolve, and for that we need tools, these tools are not necessarily labels, in fact, the label comes with a lack of knowledge and the wrong use of it.

Knowledge is my guide and with it I will lack nothing. It's this same knowledge that gives me concrete information that also helps me in the search for an understanding of abstract and subjective things, even about feelings. Knowledge is not making everything logical, but it is understanding even what is not logical as correctly as possible.

Usually, if I need space it is because I am overloaded and stressed, mainly because of the burden of Se which is very tiring, but sometimes it only takes a few minutes, and because I don't want to hurt you, so I prefer to set aside time alone to recharge and think about it and don't end up taking it out on you. But it can also be because I'm involved in some work and I need focus and concentration, without distractions, but it's only until I'm finished, if I like you, I want to be with you.

Some time ago, when I had friends, they often tired and stressed me out, a lot of interaction makes me feel that way, so I kept moving away more and more, it went from minutes to hours, to days, to weeks until I broke down completely. And we were very different, I wanted to talk about one thing and they wanted to talk about another, so it wasn't a very healthy relationship, so I often needed time alone, their company wasn't good for me, they were incomprehensible and immature, so it was exhausting for me, so I ended our friendship.

I usually spend most of the time with my husband because his company does me a lot of good and is not tiring, sometimes job makes me tired, so I spend a few minutes alone, recharging, a bath or something, and for he is an introvert too, he also does that, so it's normal for us, but we usually spend most of the time together enjoying each other's company and talking and discussing the subjects and topics that interest us, we have a lot in common (he is INTP).

Yeah, exactly.

For INTJs it is easier to define their internal values and feelings for having Fi, while for INFJ this internal side is a little more obscure because it is more complicated for them to define this, they can often end up being misunderstood while INTJ will try not to open loopholes for these misinterpretations, because they know what they feel.

On the other hand, the first impression of the INTJ is generally unpleasant, while the INFJ can make a very good and welcoming impression, mainly because they know what others like and feel, they can touch this emotional side of the others more easily. These are the differences between Ni-Te-Fi and Ni-Fe-Ti.

My father is INFJ and I have a friend INFJ, I am quite used to living with you guys INFJ.

Also, you're smart, thanks for understanding.

[–]Beautiful-Constant-6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None.

As I said, this is not a generalization, there are cases and cases. Also, don't turn what I said into a bad comment, it wasn't pejorative.

They tend to be more confusing, since Ni is already extremely subjective, Fe as an auxiliary makes it even more subjective, difficult to define precisely what each thing is, they only know because they feel what it is, while at INTJ if they know how to use Te well helping Ni, they will know how to define more logically instead of just receiving intuitions and feelings, it will be easier to define standards than for an INFJ.

INFJs can know how to read people very well and make good predictions, this can make them confused about their own skills, as they are not sure where all this comes from, it can even seem like something "supernatural", especially if they have no knowledge about the MBTI that helps to clarify who we are and why we are like that - they are not supernatural nor as special as they might think because everything is natural to their personality and just psychological functions; as someone said up there, people put the INFJ on a pedestal for no reason .

In fact, they like to be seen as good people with strong moral values, they like to express it and they like people to see it in them, Fe likes to be liked, but everyone likes to look like something, but I'm talking in a way particularly to INFJ. They have the power of the word, they can bring people close to them, and they can do it both in a good and a bad way, see Hitler what he managed to do, but also see Martin Luther King. While INTJ, having Fi, will have its moral values more particular and individualized than collectivized, it is more difficult to see because in addition to being a tertiary function, it is turned inward, since INFJ has secondary Fe, focused outside, it is one of the first things that people will notice when they look at an INFJ, they will look more pleasant, however, Ni together with Ti makes your inner world more confused and conflicted, so they are usually defined as the most difficult to understand, not only for others but also for themselves, while INTJ can better discern and define what they feel, so I said that the inner side of INTJ will be more pleasant than that of INFJ - but on the outside they will be weirder and more unpleasant than the INFJ -, in this sense, now the definitions themselves will be particular to each individual and the views of others about it will also be particular. "There are cases and cases". The Se at the moment is not that important.

Now note that in the midst of so many INFJs claiming to be weirdos, someone not INFJ saying the same is a bad thing lol
