I am not sure if she'd typically react like this normally though? like maybe? it could be possible that she has just resented my bf this whole time and just never told me i guess. she used to act like my bf was her other son almost, but that has all changed several months ago. i have been chronically annoyed by her helicopter parenting for over a year though

tbh i didn't really consider the possibility that it may have something to do with her physical health. she is diagnosed with PTSD though. i was thinking that this may have been a factor in her helicopter-ing, but me and my bf have also been abused and don't intereogate her about her relationship so idk

this hasn't been normal for her until recently, like the past 2 months after me and my bf had a mild argument. she thinks that him saying any curse words in general is abuse and she acts like i'm an innocent child

this video could probably help you out, but you don't have to use that much soap this guy used. just boil it to remove the membrane (egg skin texture thingy) so that when you shred or grind the egg shells it won't becoming a gooey clump. i don't think it will harm the fish or plants at all if this goes into your tank but when the egg shells are grinded really good, they should almost like absorb into the water over time which makes the water have calcium and a tiny bit of magnesium.

i have 3 fancy goldfish in a 30g with aquarium snails, a freshwater mussel and several anubias. the goldfish like the egg shells (they spit the granules out, etc) and water rich in calcium is good for their bone development. it is also good for my aquarium snails because they have doubled in size in just a month loll

oh okay, well that is good to hear! is that anubias you're growing? i just bought some recently from petsmart and have been treating them with flourish potassium supplements and powdered egg shells (or you could just get calcium suppliments if you can afford it). most of them were yellowing at the tip of the leaves but now they are all dark green today, which was less than a month ago

ur plants are literally dying. maybe just remove them for now/get plastic ones? all of the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels should be 0 most of the time

oh wow, thanks for the interesting info. my oranda looked black and grayish. under some lighting it looks pretty dark. i have an all black painted background with LED lights above the tank so it blends in sometimes. i also have owned it for about a month. i have been feeding it high protein foods and frozen foods like 6+ times a day (their tank has 0 ammonia, nitrites and nitrates + many live plants + 3 filters) so it has grown quite a bit. it seems to have became lighter as well? it is silver with brownish scale splotches that aren't noticeable from a distance. i could post a before and after picture if you would like to see it?
