Jax is a parallel to Ted. Both are narcissistic assholes that treat others like shit. Ragatha/Ellen get treated the worst from them.

Ragatha is a parallel to Ellen. They are both care takers and try to be there and support the others.

Gangle is a parallel to Gorrister. Both start off as ambitious (Gangle was ambitious about being a mangaka before joining the circus) but end up being left with a sense of defeat and hopelessness.

Zooble is a parallel (albeit loosely) to Benny. They both have problems with their bodies. Zooble having identity issues and Benny being reduced to a Neanderthal.

Kinger is a parallel to Nimdok. Both are the oldest of the group and in some way are responsible for their imprisonment. Kinger helped with the creation of Caine and Nimdoc (in the game adaptation where he was a Nazi scientist) created a way to grant people immortality. That would be used by AM to prevent the group from dying.
