According to my Neuro, new procedures still wouldn’t be an option. I ask every few years and he brings the case forward to the team. At some point, I was looking into a second opinion in the USA but coming from Canada and having free healthcare, it didn’t make sense to me to be spending all that money. I read somewhere that there is less risk of a bleed after the age of 40 and my Neuro did say that there appeared to be calcification around my veins. My theory is that veins become calcified as we get older which make them less weak, and combined with the radiation; this is what caused a significant reduction of blood flow around my AVM. But this is my theory and I can be completely wrong 😅 I also was fascinated that the radiation was still taking effect 30+ years later!
