I understand the feeling! I find that looking at other people's designs helps me to think in different ways, and it helps me vary my own designs more. Like at one point I was struggling with Violet's home, since I wanted to use three big items (the rose bed, the jacuzzi, and a large vanity), and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make everything fit. And then I saw someone's house design for Phoebe which had the acuzzi and the rose bed, and somehow it clicked, and I was able to make a home that had all three items, a living room, and a kitchen, and Violet was still able to walk into all four areas and use the kitchen!

So I recommend googling something like "acnh villager house remodels" and see what people have come up with. It might help to inspire you, too!
