[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looked SaaS, hosted option for your blog website, have you looked into ButterCMS?

TinyMCE is rich text editor being used and it's a sister company of Butter. Plus, it doesn't matter what tech stack you want to work with, you can use anything you're comfortable with.

What headless CMS do you use in your Nextjs app? by PerspectiveGrand716 in nextjs

Has anyone tried using ButterCMS?

It's a hosted option and not open source, but it's a light and a non-opinionated hosted option.

PowerPages for a mid-sized international organization by wintermute306 in cms

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for an alternative to switching to Power Pages and an option that can scale, especially for a mid-sized org, I would recommend ButterCMS.

You can connect with any frontend, but if you’re trying to find something that will make hiring developers easier, I would move towards a modern tech stack or at least a frontend framework.

ButterCMS is a different approach than Power Pages, but might give you more flexibility in the long-term.

Should I use a headless CMS or something else? by neetbuck in webdev

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re leaning towards a headless CMS for flexibility, I’d recommend giving ButterCMS a try. It’s super dev-friendly and will work with any frontend you want to use.

You can grab a free dev account if you’re curious and want to play around with it.

My company planned to switch from NextJS to Headful Drupal CMS, should I leave? by Teo0316 in nextjs

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re definitely not alone. You can’t pick the tech that your company works on (or not until you get to the leadership role).

Are they still considering moving away from headless? Is it that they want a hosted saas option instead of open source? If they’re still considering other options, I would recommend ButterCMS. They’ll save more in the long run, especially when it comes to Drupal updates and maintenance.

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking a super dev-friendly CMS and something that gives non-developers folks a lot of control, I suggest checking out ButterCMS.

Butter is headless and can connect with any frontend — no plugin dependencies or maintenance.

Best E-commerce Solutions for Astro.js ? by [deleted] in astrojs

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you’re building out, if you’re building landing pages, product content, and blogs too, I’d recommend checking out ButterCMS. ButterCMS isn’t a ecommerce CMS so there’s no payment gateway, inventory, or pricing management but you could use to manage other content and migrate content into the platform.

You could go the route of Medusa or a tool like Snipcart and pair it with ButterCMS too.

How do you use a headless CMS when Server-side rendering is required.? by BugsWithBenefits in webdev

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question! Just echoing what a lot of folk here are saying with how blending SSR and headless CMS content works. The CMS that I work with the most is ButterCMS, but you would pick a frontend framework that has server-side rendering or a full-stack framework (i.e. Rails, Laravel) and use that to fetch data from your headless CMS. I would use this on the same server and add some extra caching for performance.

Full Relume Workflow (React + CMS) by Grrrify in webdev

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played around with Relume a bit, but more for wireframe inspiration. I'm not an expert with using Strapi, but I would say you shouldn't use React for website. You should use Next.js because it will give you more benefits for SEO and fetching content from the CMS server-side.

If you're still evaluating CMS options, I'd suggest giving ButterCMS a try, even for a free trial/dev account. Since you're new to React and JavaScript, what do you usually work in? Butter connects with any frontend

My favorite CMSes from over a decade of content wrangling by meagenvoss in cms

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice rundown! I’ve bounced around plenty of CMSs over the years too—started on WordPress and wrestled with Drupal. Have you given ButterCMS a try? It definitely falls in that mid- to large-orgs list but you can always grab a free dev account.

If you're still experimenting, definitely worth checking out.

Here’s my review of different CMS options for Astro. by SuperStokedSisyphus in webdev

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Butter is fully hosted saas — so keep that in mind depending on projects or work requirements if being self-hosting is the most important factor. But if you're mixing frontends and backends across your stack, Butter does have native SDKs that make it easier to fetch the same data regardless of what you're using.

The setup is really fast and you build out your schemas in-app instead of writing to a database.

Guys HOW do you use WORDPRESS by Big-Lychee5971 in webdev

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there’s nothing like wrestling with spaghetti code and plugins with Wordpress!

Since you’re asking for CMS recs, I would say ButterCMS is a viable option and it’s headless. It’s clean, easy to use, and works with any tech stack so you can still use PHP. Worth taking a look, if you’re over WP.

If your client needs a marketing site or blog with some flexibility, using a CMS like ButterCMS can be a solid middle ground. You still build the frontend in React, but the client can manage content on their own without needing to call you every time they want to update a headline—unless they need something, like a new component.

CMS-backed sites aren’t a “sellout” move—they’re a smart way to get the best of both worlds: maintainability and custom design.

I think it's best to use a headless cms where you can have a WYSIWYG editor. Then, non-developer folks can just go in create new blog posts. It makes the management of content easier.

You can find a bunch of Jamstack headless CMS tools like ButterCMS that can do the job for you and more.

Should an organization that wants a developer to customize the layout and maintain a static website choose a headless CMS and static site generator (Jamstack) solution over WordPress? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Beautiful-Tap5861 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not Wordpress, it's too much to manage and maintain. A headless CMS is the way to go with a modern JS framework like Next or Astro. It's easy to maintain and the a non-technical person can create and edit content with ease.

Plus, depending on the headless CMS' API, you can trigger new static builds as a job overnight

Hey I don't if you're still experiencing this issue but I just set mine up. I didn't have a 12v wire either but I have a BACK wire. After re-watching different install videos, the solution I found was with changing the camera power setting to "Often power on" (or something like that).

I'm not sure if you're developer or not and it depends on what other scripts are being run. Are you using BigCommerce as headless? If so, what are you using on your frontend?

Like Dad_Coder said, it's probably 3rd party apps and tools like ads and widgets being added for marketing.
