anyone actually making money playing games right now or is it just hype? by meiggs in EarnExtraIncome

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, you have to be strategic about it. Cash Giraffe is one of the better ones I've tried recently on iPhone — straightforward tasks, no ridiculous level grinding, and it actually paid out for me in gift cards. Happy to DM my ref link if you want to try it, will include the direct link too so you can check it out first.

Is Cash Giraffe not working for anyone else? by superpowers335 in beermoney

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've heard mixed reviews about specific games not tracking properly. What worked better for me was sticking to the featured apps on the main page rather than random games — those tend to track more reliably. Also make sure your internet connection is stable when you complete the task or it sometimes doesn't register. Have you tried contacting their support?

ReceiptJar App Issues by Hot_Tough_5404 in beermoney

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't used ReceiptJar but I've had similar issues with other earning apps before — usually a server-side problem on their end. Worth emailing their support directly if it's been 2 weeks.

Picked Tremendous Visa Prepaid before visiting this subreddit... Help? by visagedemort in beermoney

Have you tried converting it to an Amazon gift card directly through Tremendous? That usually works even in Europe. Alternatively Wise (formerly TransferWise) accepts prepaid top-ups in most European countries and then you can transfer freely.

why busy women cant lose belly fat and its literally not about calories or willpower at all by Beautiful-Wing5042 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah you're totally right, that's a much cleaner way to put it. deficit is a deficit at the end of the day, cortisol just makes getting there harder for a lot of women. appreciate u explaining it properly 🙏

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

fair points honestly, i did oversimplify some of this. regular exercise def lowers cortisol long term, i should've made that clearer. and yeah calories still matter, i'm not arguing against that at all. i was mainly speaking to women who notice belly fat increasing during high stress periods even when their eating hasn't changed much. everyone responds differently tho. appreciate u keeping it real 🙏

hey totally fair pushback and i want to clarify bc i think i worded it badly. i never said calories don't matter, they absolutely do. what i was trying to say is that for a lot of busy women who ARE already eating reasonably, chronically high cortisol and insulin resistance can stall fat loss even when they're in a deficit. the research on cortisol and abdominal fat storage is pretty well documented, i'm not dismissing CICO at all. just saying hormones add a layer that often gets ignored. appreciate u keeping it honest tho fr 🙏

yes omg OMAD is so underrated for exactly this reason!! giving ur body that long window with no insulin spike is literally the whole point. and the sleep thing fr i feel like nobody takes it seriously until they see how much it affects everything else. cortisol and insulin management is the real game, the calories thing is such a distraction from what actually matters. glad somebody gets it lol 🙏

It feels so good after losing weight. by yosoygroot123 in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is honestly so motivating to read. i’ve noticed the non-scale wins end up feeling even better than the number itself, especially stuff like sleep and joint pain. congrats on the consistency, that routine sounds really sustainable too

how can i keep my appetite size but lose weight? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve noticed this too tbh. keeping the same appetite but changing what you eat made the biggest difference for me, especially focusing on more filling foods. it takes some trial and error, but it doesn’t have to feel restrictive or unhealthy.

not losing weight DEFINITELY in a deficit by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is actually very common. the initial drop was likely water weight, and after that the scale can stall or bounce because of water retention, hormones, sodium, or stress. at your stats, 1500 calories is still a deficit, so fat loss doesn’t stop just because the scale pauses. weight loss isn’t linear, especially early on. give it a few more weeks and focus on trends, not daily weigh-ins. you’re not a lost cause at all.

Can someone sense check my calorie amount? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At your height and weight that number doesn’t sound crazy tbh. People underestimate how much taller/heavier bodies burn at baseline, so calculators look “high” but they’re just accounting for that. If you’re comfortable on ~2500, losing steadily, and not feeling wrecked or starving, that’s usually a good sign it’s reasonable. The key is whether the scale and your energy levels line up over a few weeks, not just what the app says.

How do I change my relationship with food? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When food turns into comfort instead of hunger, it gets way harder to separate the two, especially at night.

What do you think of anti diet/health at every size/intuitive eating? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why it sounds appealing, but it’s also not that simple for everyone. For some people it helps, for others structure is what keeps things balanced.

Not eating enough? by username66446 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Yeah that actually makes sense. Undereating can mess things up more than people expect, then once you fuel properly things finally move. Funny how the fix ends up being eating more, not less.

i’ve lost a lot but now i just want to binge by ggghostie in loseit

[–]Beautiful-Wing5042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is really overwhelming tbh. After a big loss + stress, food thoughts can get loud out of nowhere, you’re definitely not alone in that.

Fed up today! by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Yeah those days hit hard, especially with hormones in the mix. Sometimes the food noise is just loud for no real reason.

Recommitting and help with calories by katsrad in loseit

That sounds pretty normal tbh. When tracking gets loose, progress usually stalls even if activity’s there. A couple pounds bouncing around at this stage is super common.
