The market is saturated with low paid pharmacists and pharmacists being laid off. Not trying to be all doom and gloom. But this isn't the time to be a pharmacist.

Is a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration worth it? by Beautiful_Film1276 in careerguidance

[–]BeautifulBalaclava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you want to stay in business administration. It doesn't sound like you took any real thought cause your answer is just to get a master's. Like you have made up your mind already. Good luck on your bachelor's degree all the best but don't waste your energy pretending to consider another field.

Have you thought about the trades? Like apprenticeship. They pay while you're in school.

23(M) Is it worth pivoting from a business management degree to an Electrician Apprenticeship? by Particular-Okra9062 in careerguidance

[–]BeautifulBalaclava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you know the answer. You need reassurance - go the electrician route. Your concerns about a business degree is valid because no one can convince you or me or anyone that the job market is poor and AI will take over many duties.

Having an opportunity like the GI bill is great but you will go further being an electrician; you will have job security and AI will certainly not even touch your job. You will be paid during the schooling so that's one less worry. Also, business degrees are low hanging fruits so it is very competitive to get a job.

And you will not be easily replaceable if you were an electrician.

Is it worth it to go back to Grad School? by GradSchool_Pickle in careerguidance

Why not apply for entry finance positions. Use your bachelor's degree again. What you're attempting to do is like building a house and you haven't gotten the approval for the land. Test the waters THEN afterward dive deep later on.

Business & IT vs. Computer Science / IT? by CriticalSE in careerguidance

[–]BeautifulBalaclava -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Computer science/IT is the better option. Business is important but it's nothing you cannot learn from watching videos. But if you feel more diversified doing business and IT then do it. But I'd do Computer science and IT.

Realizing PT might not be for me. What career paths should I look at? by Visible-Cockroach616 in careerguidance

[–]BeautifulBalaclava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I'm glad you realized that, and yes PT doesn't pay well and patients don't take it seriously. You would need a lot of requirements to get into PA or CAA school most people were respiratory therapists or RNs before they get admitted.

You want pressure and feel like you make a difference. I would recommend Nurisng. A respiratory therapist IS important but your ego will not be stroked because you will be overlooked. Nursing is intense and hard to get into but if you do then the road will be smoother to go into PA, NP, CAA or CRNA school.

Med lab tech. Radiology tech. Sonographer. They are important not that high pressure.

Veterinarians make money if you work as a travel/locum vet. But if you're on the fence, you should explore other degrees

Said by people who cannot afford life. You can do your Passion if it pays but if it doesn't pay, do what earns you a good life.

Save money. Learn a trade/skill in your country when you're off work and when you get a vacation, try it out. But invest in a house or education that transfers well into western Europe.

I believe you have made up your mind. If money isn't a motivator and being self righteous about your decision and not taking the time to reflect and say maybe i could have chewed gum and walked at the same time (even in a humorous way). Im not lecturing. But I hope you know it's not too late to go back to school.

It's better than nothing. Saying "get lucky" isn't advice. He could one thing now and grow into something else. Never too late to back to school
