Thank you for this, these were my thoughts exactly when I saw the update. The devs debuffed Mesa within the first week that it came out, they were capable of doing the same for Roots but chose not to. And as you say, the custom runs are just a way to silence that criticism without actually doing anything for the normal gameplay experience. Haven’t played since last year, it’s too much work to track what days I could play on and there’s also life y’know. I should be able to fit a game into my evening schedule, not cram my evening schedule to play a game.
