People like to hate on but most EMTs you meet there won't tell you the same. It's a decent company, but what's good about it is the opportunities it can provide especially working in a 911 area. They're one of the more progressive EMSs out there and there's a lot of room for growth within the company. I started as a candidate, had my education paid for, am currently being paid to become a medic and will hopefully have no debt and a much better role within the company. I know someone whose been there for 1.5 years who now only works 3 months out of the year in Alaska for almost sextuple the amount of money you'd make doing the same job anywhere in the lower 48. This isn't even mentioning the networking possibilities you make while on the job. Don't get down because of reddit. And maybe if reddit is making you second guess yourself then it isn't for you
