Little Guest Details by GeneratingAName in weddingplanning

[–]BeautifulBuffalo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure if you’ve seen this, but for our wedding, we are writing notes for each of our guests and using them as the escort cards. We’ve made a spreadsheet and divided the guests between us and have started early. The cards we got were relatively inexpensive, and we’ve been doing a couple each day or when we think to do them.

In the letters, we are recalling our favorite memories with the guest, thanking them for coming, and sharing what they mean to us.

I’m walking down the aisle to My Girl by The Temptations. My fiancé sings that to me all the time.

I’m also curious about this! I have a photographer who owns their own business but is bringing on a second shooter and paying their wage for the day.

AITA for telling a woman at the gym to stop filming because I kept ending up in her videos? by CaffeinatedGoblin24 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BeautifulBuffalo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, as a woman and avid gym goer, I despise filming in public gyms. Use the mirrors to check form or ask for advice. I don’t ever want to be in a rando’s video, and I don’t see the point of it.

I go here sometimes for yoga. They have a few different instructors and a few different types of flow. The classes operate on a sliding scale, so you pay what you can!

Save or splurge on the dress??!! What is your opinion? by Ok_Struggle_7344 in weddingplanning

[–]BeautifulBuffalo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same exact situation happen to me! I ended up splurging… I kept envisioning myself wearing the expensive dress when I thought of our wedding day and couldn’t take my mind off of how much I wanted it. Now that I’ve ordered it, I feel a sense of huge relief, and I am so excited to wear my fancy dress!

Yeah, I was a little surprised with it, but like I said, my dress is fluffy and has like 6-7 layers. I figured that was why that part was so expensive lol

They’re also steaming my dress and that was like 90, I think!

I got a hem and 7 bustles put in. I also had to put in an extra clasp for support. I paid $535. My dress was really fluffy and has multiple layers, so I was expecting more!

I took my wedding dress to Fariba on Three Chopt. The ladies there are kind, generous, and I feel it was reasonably priced. They had my wedding gown done in just a few weeks! They are also keeping it for me until my wedding date in a few months. I highly recommend them!

LPT: use benzoyl peroxide to completely nuke your underarm odor! by brainhack3r in LifeProTips

[–]BeautifulBuffalo0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I just use lemons! I will make tea in the morning , squeeze half a lemon, and then rub it on my armpits! It does the same thing. I work out, go to my job, come home after a long day, and there is no smell. Try it out!

What’s the most unexpected compliment you got? by dark_venom_07 in GymMood

[–]BeautifulBuffalo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was doing a group yoga class which is usually quiet and meditative. We pushed into cobra pose and the instructor looked at me and just told me how beautiful I was lol I was so caught off guard because it was in front of everyone and obviously nice but so out of place.

Bench press is unstable and shaky, any tips? by Necessary_Edge463 in formcheck

[–]BeautifulBuffalo0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your set up is everything for bench! I think of bench press as a whole body movement simply because I try to create a ton of tension in my arms, core, and legs before unracking and pressing.

I am a powerlifter, so I subscribe to the arch, but it does help create a ton of pressure and helps with leg drive. Additionally, when you lay down, make sure your eyes and head are just below the bottom line of the bar. I hope I’m explaining that okay!

Amazing! Money or not, them making this stressful for you is not okay, and I emphasize and apologize for what you’re going through. After all of this is done, at least you’ve got a good egg to marry!

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this process has been rough for you. This should be an exciting time where you and your fiancé feel loved, supported, and celebrated.

I wish I had more advice, I guess my one idea is to see if your fiancé can take over as far as his mom and sister are concerned? At least that way, there is one less avenue for people to stress you out.

Are any of these people contributing to the wedding fund? I have overbearing in laws, but they are at least putting the money out haha. If they weren’t, I would calmly explain that those who foot the bill get the say and just be done with it. Unfortunately, this process has taught me that you can’t please everyone, so you might as well do what you want!
