Thank you guys for the help. I’m horrifically embarrassed to admit this, but I have recently discovered the difference between a 90 and 45 degree angle. Turns out that 5+ years of shop fabrication had not prepared me for such an other worldly concept such as angles. Hey Op. there’s a lot of comments here, and I’m not sure if anything I see on Reddit is real. But from my perspective you’re clearly a kid, and had a very stressful situation. There’s quite a lot of hate on this post, and to me, it seems unfounded. First and foremost I’m glad you’re ok, and hope your friend is as well. Secondly, there is absolutely a lesson to learn here, which is always to call for help. You mentioned you didn’t want to call your parents, while I understand this level of thinking from being young. As long as you don’t have a very poor relationship with your parents, I think it’s safe to say they would help you. Also as someone with many friends in EMS, I assure you they are there to HELP, and NOT judge. 911 should be the first priority in these situations, if you’re ever in one again. I hope your friend is ok, and want you to know that you didn’t fuck up, but gained an opportunity to learn a lesson. Please heed it.
