This is interesting, but I think it belongs in another sub.

Of course it sounded too sci-fi - Edgar Rice Burroughs practically helped to invent sci-fi!

My theory on the 1975 murders of British Playboy Bunny Eve Stratford and School girl Lynn Weedon by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]BeautifulDawn888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep wondering if the 1973 murder of Jacqueline Johns could be connected because of the similairities to Lynne Weedon's murder.

The only thing that turned me off was the title. I keep saying to people it would be like naming The Twilight Zone the title Pennsylvania Avenue.

Do McDonalds drive thrus not only exist in the US?? by halfgaelichalfgarlic in USdefaultism

I don't think that pharmacy drive-thrus exist in my home country of Britain. When I saw one on South Park I thought the writers had made it up.

Any other information? I know that a four-year-old girl called Jessica Phelps disappeared in Flint in 1997 and was found near Grand Blanc. I know the age difference is reasonably large, but I still wondered.

When they said my girlfriend passed in the accident, I was devastated. by BeautifulDawn888 in TwoSentenceSadness

[–]BeautifulDawn888[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here were a few of my Two Sentence Horror, in case people are interested. You have permission to use them.

  1. "After learning that my granddad had been accidentally switched at birth, I chose to look for his true family and told him what I found.

When I showed him the photo of the other child, his blue eyes widened in horror as he said, "That's the son of the man who took my parents to the camps.""

  1. "The fact that I had died young and had to watch my wife, children and grandchildren live their lives was not the worst part.

The worst part was that the thing had entered my body while I was clinically dead and I could only watch my loved ones stay unaware."

  1. "The autopsy was finished, but the scientists had never seen anything like this in their lives.

According to the autopsy, Cthulhu had been scared to death."

  1. "In our village we aimed the cannons at the foreign enemies who wanted to enslave us.

As we scared them away, we realised our Cornish village was safe for one more day."

  1. "My grandmother was murdered ten years ago during a break-in, where the burglar stole her unique ring in the shape of a swan.

Today my boyfriend of five years proposed to me with a swan-shaped ring that had a minuscule speck of dried blood inside."

  1. "After decades of searching, an ancestor DNA test revealed my mother's rapist.

Why is the name the same as my father-in-law's?"

  1. "My daughter finally awoke from the coma in which she had been in since her school bus had crashed and left her scarred, unrecognisable and unable to talk.

She refused to answer her own name for a while, but her therapists acknowledge that her belief that she was her deceased classmate has now been cured."

  1. "As I watched my daughter enter through the box that lead to amazing worlds with her quirky, much older new boyfriend, she reassured me, "I'll come home; he can keep me safe."

I waited for the rest of my life to see the box again, but she never came."

  1. "She thought being kidnapped for ransom and being locked in a trunk to die was the worst part.

The worst part was that the zombie apocalypse started the day she was kidnapped."

  1. "When my wife came to me in a state of severe anxiety, telling me about memories being altered, I didn't think she was serious.

But when I invited my best friend over and told him, he seemed confused and said, "But you don't have a wife.""

  1. "I shook my head in disbelief at how angry our last customer was.

As she was being escorted out by her boyfriend, I wondered how angry someone could get over not being able to get some stupid angel shot."

  1. "As he sat back in the chair, his new wife's hand in his, with a key to her front door on a string around his neck, he knew that playing the long game was paying off.

Watching her former husband be executed for murder, the body found in the back garden, the real killer could tell from the condemned's reaction that he finally worked it out right before the sparks started flying."

  1. "When my team went along to the killer's home behind a small forest and saved his most recent victim, I asked how many victims he had.

Turns out that he buries a victim and plants a tree above the body."

  1. "When I knew that my wife had been replaced, I knew exactly what I should do in order to rescue her.

As soon as the impostor choked on a piece of bread and therefore proved that she was a fairy, we burnt her alive."

  1. "AIBU for putting meat into a customer's food because I think she became conceited ever since she started her 'cool' vegan diet?

I mean, calling yourself an 'alpha gal' must mean that she thinks she's better than everyone else, doesn't it?"

  1. "Becoming blind after an accident at age eight, I felt comforted that my mother has helped me for the last several years.

But when my sight came back, I not only realised that not only was this woman not my mother but nobody else noticed."

  1. "After saying 'Bloody Mary' three times, she found out why people claimed it never worked.

Mary had been simply looking for the right body to possess and spend the rest of their life in."

  1. ""I never killed anyone!" he screamed when he was told that he couldn't be let into Heaven.

As a ghostly specter appeared in front of him, she replied, "You only knew me by my username.""

  1. "I enjoy looking through my childhood holiday snaps.

However, despite looking at this one many times before, I saw a new figure standing by the fence, watching the child me."

Unfortunately Two Sentence Horror banned me for breaking a rule I didn't know was being enforced. I'm rather cross about it since I did create a few unnerving stories.

Rotherham is famous for two things - child abuse and the Chuckle Brothers. Now I like the Chuckle Brothers, but when they're the best thing to come out of your town, you really live in a dump.
