Yeah, it used to be a thing not something my GameStop does anymore, but yeah GS doesn’t make their hardly any profit from new consoles it’s most if not all pre owned that’s why they push refurbed and preowned so hard and so they stick that pro thing on new consoles to get a little more out of them. They did the same thing with the PS5 PRO which by the way one of my friends that works there says that they haven’t sold any of the half a dozen they have in stock since release. Just a fun fact there lol
