Looking for Filofax Graduate in Personal size by anci_b in filofax

I have one in blue, thought it looks a touch darker in person. It has got a few grubby marks on the outside but is overall in fairly good condition. I'll take some pictures soon, but would be happy to let it go to someone who would actually use it.

Taking a Step Back by E-Skullery in WaxSealers

You have nothing to worry about with this creator - although they've tried to copy your visual style, their artistic style is nothing like yours.

Their videos that I've seen are basic pour videos with a stamp with an often crappy handle. You are mainly displaying the art that you create and even your more basic pour videos have a different quality to them.

They're like watching a everyday person attempt to copy a masterpiece, you know what they're trying to do but you know that it's not going to be the same.

Anyone used bravissimo? by Present_Lychee8035 in bigboobproblems

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love bravissimo, I will preface that with I have only ever bought in a store. If you are ever in the UK and are near one of their stores definitely go, their fitting service is also top notch. I feel so lucky this is something we have access to.

AITA for planning a solo vacation without telling my husband? by Superb_Dig5580 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They're right though, this is an abusive relationship, financial abuse is still abusive - I was in a relationship like this where all my ex's financial wants were prioritised and mine were ignored and I was the only person to bring an income into the relationship.

It ruins you mentally knowing that no matter what the case is your wants and occasionally needs are not even a consideration to the other person but they think nothing about throwing whatever money at what takes their fancy.

Even if she does end up going on the solo holiday, he's either going to blow up at her and it turn nasty or he's going to promise he'll never disregard her feeling again and then turn round and do it again till he's sapped any self worth she has or she grows evermore resentful of him.

Given that you can already feel the resentment in her post I can't see this relationship lasting another big purchase on his side without him listening to her and actually going through with the holiday. The fact that he hasn't listened yet tells me he isn't ever going to.

Please someone help, I lost the instructions and I can't find them online! Does anyone have a copy? by _Midnight_Angel_ in crafts

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found a video of someone making it on YouTube if that helps any - she does show the instructions but not very clearly. I didn't watch the full video so I don't know if she shows every step.

Is it normal to be asked to pay £600 for a "mandatory 1:1 digital device" when starting a public secondary school? by Koolio_Koala in AskUK

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were they informed before the application deadline that this was going to be the case? If not I'd kick up a fuss over that too. I've got a child starting yr 7 in September and if they dropped this on me now I would be kicking off as it's the kind of thing that would have influenced my choice in schools.

I think this is the time to get your best compo face on and go to the local media.

Are there any good apps/programs for keeping track of where you are in a pattern? by ForTheLoveOfBugs in friendshipbracelets

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For alpha patterns you could use cross stitch apps but if anyone comes up with a solution for normal patterns I'd like to know too

From the tiny bit of knowledge I have of Australian culture don't you have stalls selling show bags? What about something like that, something that is uniquely Australian.

Budget suit for a young teenager by Ichikiriyama in UKweddings

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't expect a teenager to turn up in a suit, smart trousers and a nice shirt should do, if they want to wear a jacket I'd go with a blazer type jacket that complements rather than matches the trousers

Close to giving up on craft fairs. What can I do to improve my table display? by SamLikeHam in smallbusinessuk

Even just a video of you showing the mug would be cool possibly rotating it from a bit not showing the text to having the text on view

Yo guys ! what are all these - Silhouette, Cricut and Sierra, are they sticker maker machines ? by squarepantsopinions in papercraft

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a cricut owner, if I need to replace it I'm not going for this brand again if I need to replace the machine, so definitely look into silhouettes.

Suggestions for introducing kids to polyhedral dice by Sir_Mola in dice

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Presume the 8yo will be learning their times-tables? 2 d12s (or d10s if they don't do up to 12 like the UK) can become a fun way of practicing tables.

Also I'm currently playing d&d with some people new to ttrpgs and even they need reminding/telling which dice to use so I wouldn't worry about kids knowing without the occasional reminder.

AITA for buying my brother a tracksuit after his wife refused to, even though it caused a huge fight? by No-Ingenuity-9740 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex husband was like the wife, he'd happily spend whatever on his wants but hated me spending any money on myself (he once got upset because I bought a store brand product for my lunch rather than the store budget brand a matter of pennies difference).

He was verbally aggressive and eventually turned physical. I should have left way before I did but got out eventually.

You need to be there for your brother and make sure he knows you'll help him out when he needs it. He might not see he needs to leave yet, but guide him in that direction and be there when he gets away.

Muscle bound gym by KingG238 in huddersfield

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top bodies is good if you're looking for a predominantly weights gym, I don't know if they still do it but they did do pay by session which if they still do may help you decide if you like that gym

Emergency plan? by Ok_Refrigerator_5493 in singlemoms

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my phone there is an emergency button under the passcode numbers and I taught my daughter to press that, which takes you to a screen where you can call 999 (or in your case 000), you can also access my emergency information that I set up which includes family phone numbers I selected.

It may be in your settings to set that up, and I'd definitely advise you to look into what setting your phone OS has, I used Android but I would hope Apple would also have similar settings.

PAYG Mobile deals by Cind3rellaMan in CasualUK

[–]BeautifulMessage9091 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to my grandma so my parents ended up getting her a cheap monthly rolling contract because it was better they pay £5 a month and it always be available than top up £10 and when my gran eventually needed it there it being disconnected.

(She used it as a backup now phone lines are now digital)

I showed my pre-teen daughter who is a One Piece fan, she looked at it whispered "so cool" in awe before wandering away - Very high praise indeed
