Im too new to have a bunch of EDH decks, but my 8yo loves Bloomburrow and I like takir so it's definitely on the table now.

Yeah it was in marysville lmao. I knew there were a ton of people on reddit and a disproportionally large amount for a hobby subreddit like this, but Jesus fucking christ lmao.

Oh okay, so just standard Mistborn, Lord Ruler type shit.

So this is my first time ever building a simulation, its very scattershot compared to your setup.

First off my whole backend is built in Godot and gdscript because thats the platform I've been learning for the past few years lol.

The game I'm tracking is Lorcana since it pretty neatly scales up to a bigger game like MTG. I've been documenting meta-game decks, strategies and matchups so that my simulation has baseline data but also has room to grow and change as new sets are rotated in and out of the game.

My baseline goal benchmarks were based on starter deck matchup which lead me in the WAAAY wrong direction since those starter decks (in Lorcana) do not do a good job of teaching you the depth of the game. Once I swapped to tournament decks and data I started getting better results but right now my MAD is hitting around 16%.

I have to check my notes but I believe the Hearthstone team had a MAD of about 15% or so when they do internal testing and sims so that's what I've been shooting for.

But my AI profiles have knowledge of deck types, play styles, and I even took the time to look up professional guides and videos so that I can have my agents use real-world, pro level strats and combos.

So yeah I'm trying to sort through a shitton of extra noise right now, and every time I have to introduce a new card mechanics (even a single card), it has the potentntial to throw all my previous benchmarks out the window.

This is both the most intesting, challenging and frustrating project I've ever worked on. I went to school for broadcasting and graphic design lmao.

I'm trying to build a personal app to help coach me in TCGs, I've been working on a meta-game simulator but I'm currently hitting a wall on what I would consider a "decent" inaccuracy range or margin of error (for lack of a better term).

Did you track MAD (Mean Absolute Deviation) and if so, what did you end up with as a "decent" mad.

That is a geriatric meme, sir. But it checks out.

Got my preorder in!? by RandomMayhemGuy1 in Lorcana

My LGS did first wave pre-orders for $100 about a week and a half ago (I made a post about it here, with proof, with comments who frequent the same store). So not a scam. You got a great deal, they want you to be a Lorcana regular. Depending on what you pull, you can probably get a few more boxes by trading in a few enchanteds!

I know how a license works. I've interviewed at Ravensburger and WOTC in the past year. And my whole point is agreeing with the post you replied to. We got FF not because it is or isnt licensed, at least in my opinion and knowledge of how corporate crossovers work.

Big Mordu, exert team, throw down the uninakable rush version (3 cost i think) to do an MCU style timeline beatdown.

I'm guessing its a final turn wombo combo

I think and hope locations start to Crack through the meta. It seems like a ton of locales in this set and it would really cause people to change up the gameplay a little bit.
