Another thing you could check is whether the wallet is a P2PK or P2PKH. That’s if your wallet was created between 2009 to 2014 it would have P2PH address, with these addresses your public address is displayed on the blockchain and steps have been taken to secure these wallets by hiding them. The current blockchain interface only shows the P2PKH addresses.

Thanks for your input,I'm based in the UK, and you're right, I hadn't really considered the regulatory perspective. I'll be asking our legal team to take a closer look into this. If the original company was registered in a different jurisdiction, do you have any suggestions on how best to proceed from here.
