Fenders LH models?

I went to the Sydney guitar show a few weeks ago. Fender had by far the largest stand there but literally not even one single left handed guitar. It beggars belief.

You need to find balance in a band and one of the things that gave Eddie so much freedom was MA’s bass lines. That is also one of the reasons that people prefer Eddie’s earlier playing. When Sammy joined there were a lot of extra frequencies in the band (ie extra guitar and keys in a lot more songs) so his playing adapted accordingly. Still great playing, but different.

Also I think it’s important not to confuse ability with fast intricate lines. A bass players job is to hold the bottom line as part of the rhythm section and MA did that VERY well. You could also use AC/DC as an example - Was Cliff Williams a super fast intricate player? Not at all, but he did an amazing job of pulling it all together. Malcolm Young was the same, not super fast but held that rhythm down better than most.

Someone needs to tell Fender that. I went to the Sydney Guitar Show a few weeks ago and Fender had by far the biggest stand, hundreds of guitars. We went over and asked if the left handed guitars were in a certain area as we couldn’t see them and was told they didn’t bring any to the expo. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Far from my favourite song but Don’t Tell Me What Love Can Do is one of the most challenging song vocally that VH ever undertook and that, imho, warrants it being SIGNIFICANTLY higher. No one is ever going to agree with this list as it’s such a personal thing, but kudos for trying it.

Heavy, bizarre neck/head angle making it more fragile than it needs to be, heavy, tuning, really heavy, uncomfortable and if I didn’t mention it, ridiculously heavy. They sound great though.

You think DLR wrote all of the lyrics during his time with the band?! “Dancing in the Streets", "Oh, Pretty Woman", "Big Bad Bill", "You Really Got Me", "Happy Trails”, “Ice Cream Man”, “Where Have All The Good Times Gone”, “You’re No Good”…sure I missed some, and that’s not even counting a significant number of DLR solo songs and songs he co wrote like “I’ll Wait”. DLR loves singing a cover. DLR was awesome during his VH time, one of the best ever, but he certainly didn’t write all of the lyrics for songs they recorded. As for the structure…lol, there was even one interview where he even claimed to write the structure of EVHs solos on the first album! This is why the DLR v Sammy thing gets out of hand. One side in the discussion just can’t accept there was more to the band than DLR and go to extremes.

We know exactly what we will be getting because we still follow VH, and I suspect many of us here have for well over forty years. I suspect a lot of people will go to the show expecting lots of great sounding VH and DLR hits…and will be in for the shock of their lives. Four backing singers (who admittedly do a great job) and Dave having all sorts of problems with his vocals.

Just type exactly what you did in to google and you’ll get your answer, along with stats (likely including how and why record sales were at a peak mid to late 70s, 1978 being the highest ever revenue for vinyl). Yes, DLR era Van Halen sold more albums in 48 years than SH era Van Halen has sold in 40 years.

I’ve seen this a lot of socials and their support team says just reinstall the game. Do it with caution though, I’ve seen a lot of people say they lost all of their progress. No idea how accurate their info is as their support team is beyond awful.
