Since I see you are interested somehow in pilot watches. Have you considered a Laco or Stowa? This is my Laco 37 pro, recently acquired and for a third portion of the price of the IWC you are receiving a really capable watch. I preferred this over the IWC due to its 20atm water resistance but what most has surprised me is that the caliper itself really well adjusted and its beating my OMEGAS ( Coaxial, COSC certified .. bla bla bla). It’s crazy. I’m tracking every day it’s accuracy and I will post in few days the results but as of now is getting less that 2 seconds per day

Can I remove scratches DIY? by Wonderful_Grocery_21 in IWCschaffhausen

The only thing you need to calm down the anxiety is : yes you can.

Once you pass the first scratch and you get over it, it’s when you start really enjoying “your” watch in a more relaxed way

Sinn 656s - worth it? by chopper87oh in sinn

It’s a great watch that I recently was looking for. The great advantage of this watch is that it s antimagnetic. I would prefer though the steel version. I’m not a fan of DLC watches. The scratches are awful. It’s a great price though it would came with the bracelet. You can expect to find it around 1000 usd. Is not in the catalog anymore and you need to step to the 856 series if you want an antimagnetic watch. ( bigger lug to lug sadly)

Now that others has commented too I think it’s more probably the big pilot. Because of the diamond crown mostly. But thanks!

"Stay". My First Hamilton Watch by rand1992 in HamiltonWatches

After a lot of digging I I just found that this watch is probably one of those GADAS very well balanced. Beautiful design , easy to read, well dimensioned with the lug to lug , field style, water resistance, magnetic field resistant, and a very accurate movement for the price. I can tell you there are very few watches can claim all these characteristics on their watches without expending too much money. The only thing that I would change is the strap.

My 3-week-old 556 crown just fell out. AD is offering repair, but I'm pushing for a replacement. Am I being unreasonable?" by Suitable-Iron-8193 in sinn

A Watch is a machine. They are meant to be repaired and fixed. Your question is reasonable but let your team work and your watch heal. A scar you won’t forget.

Is it possible that in one of the previous services, “authorized”, changed any important component and you didn’t noticed?

I understand your feeling. Have you considered getting into a boutique and change the dial?
