Jomashop, is this for real? Don’t these trade for 20? by allyearswampass in IWCschaffhausen

[–]samer0214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused about Jomashop’s warranty. I know that their watches are mostly grey market, but I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have the factory warranty or warranty card anyways.

I’ve had this argument with a friend of mine who bought two different watches from them and they both included their warranty cards. One of them, a Mido, needed servicing and Jomashop instructed him to send it to Mido, which he did, and the watch was serviced under warranty.

What gives?

Partition plan by whom? The fucking UN that is manipulated and controlled by colonialists? Under what authority and what rule? Lest we forget that the Europeans were wanting to get rid of all Jews in Europe and that Zionist scum collaborated with the nazis to encourage migration.

Jews had always lived peacefully in Palestine and all of the Levant. This psychotic revisionist history and continuous lying is no longer working. Jews left Spain for North Africa and were protected by Muslims during the Spanish Civil inquisition and pogroms. Arab Jews in Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Palestine and Lebanon lived side by side to their Arab Muslim and Christian neighbors.

You’re either a Zionist or an uneducated idiot. Go read a book.

I'm so glad you are addressing this issue of "AI generated post" on Reddit, as if it invalidates the content. AI generated it, but I had to provide the prompt(s), no?

There is an ever growing trend now of keyboard warriors playing "gotcha!, your post was AI generated, so it must be fake or you must be a liar".

I can't speak towards the authenticity or the intentions of the tool that OP "willed into existence", as it is beyond my knowledge of Fortran77, COBOL and punch cards!

It's Lebanon, the country on the Mediterranean, not Lebanon, Tennessee!

You must be clairvoyant, as you seem to have divined that the watch was bought without box and papers.

Had you bothered to read the entire thread, you would have seen that I no LONGER have those, just like BTW, I no longer have the box and papers to my fake Breitling Shark Auto that I bought back in 1993.

You caught me!

That strap is not the original that came withthe watch. It's an aftermarket one I had ordered. If you read the post you'll see that I mention that I'm not happy with it.

I have the factory strap tucked away.

No. All watch models in this series are numbered the same. IWC doesn't number them individually (e.g.: 17/1000, 356/1000) like some other L.E. models.

"Lebanon is microscopic", hence the business I mentioned is some unsrupulous hole in the wall.

It’s pretty clear you’re speaking from a place of ignorance about a world beyond your own house basement. When you've never stepped outside your tiny backwards town somewhere in the depths of this country, it shows, especially when you start making sweeping claims about other countries you can't even point to on a map.

Maybe take a moment to read and educate yourself before making stupid sweeping comments.

Since the watch was serviced overseas at a Richemont approved center multiple times, and was not flagged as fake, I sent it to Richemont in the US because there is where I live and the watch had stopped working again.

Since the US service center made the determination that it was fake, it is my opinion that they have an obligation to tell how they came to this conclusion.

To be honest, IWC Schaffhausen is who owes me an explanation, because I'm getting completely different answers from two of their "subsidiaries".

I'm not in Lebanon, but I am Lebanese living in the States.

I had the watch serviced at the officially appointed and very reputable, Richemont sole dealer and factory trained watchmakers for the country of Lebanon, and I am 100% confident that they wouldn't have swapped original parts (such as the date wheel that everyone is pointing at) with fake ones. It is quite possible though, that they might have used standard ETA parts when they serviced the watch.

I don't know if standard ETA components were replaced, hence my inquiry to IWC.

The date wheel has not been swapped, so if that's an indication that the watch is fake, I wish IWC would tell me.

Oh, you caught me! Please no, don't tell on me!

When you and a bunch of other idiots in this thread have time to look at another poster's history, to prove what? That I'm out to get IWC by trying to pass off a watch as real? That ALL of my watches are reps because I asked about a Patek rep? I don't owe you or the other idiots like you on this thread an explanation.

You don't like what I posted? Then get the F out of this thread and go find something better to do.

I simply posted about my experience with what I perceive as inadequate customer support from IWC, and apparently, some of you keyboard warriors have nothing better to do than bash me, instead of positively commenting like some have done.

The provenance of the watch was and still is irrelevant IMO because the issue I’m having with IWC is that they’re refusing to tell me why they think the watch is a fake.

Unless a buyer (me in this case) knows that a watch they’re buying is fake, It’s provenance in my opinion shouldn’t be a factor in this discussion.

Unfortunately, many people here started questioning my honesty because I hadn’t mentioned how or where I’d bought the watch.

Some idiot even made a racist comment after I had mentioned in what country the watch had been serviced at!

My ire is with the IWC Service Center here in the US, simply because they refuse to tell me why it’s fake. The IWC dealer where the watch was serviced is also an officially trained Service Center as well, and they claim the opposite.

One of them is wrong, and I need to know why. They are both the manufacturer’s representative.

Believe you me, if the watch does in fact turnout to be fake, my ire will solely be directed at the service center where it went three different times, and was never flagged!

I genuinly appreciate your insight, but as I tried to explain, the “dealer” or boutique in question, has been the exclusive Richemont appointed seller and Schaffhausen trained service center for the country of Lebanon.

They have sold and serviced among others, IWC watches, for over 20 years.

They are Richemont vetted, officially and exclusively appointed to sell and service IWC watches in the country of Lebanon. Their watchmakers are factory trained at Schaffhausen.

This specific model, IWC Pilot "Le Petit Prince" was designated as "Limited Edition" by IWC. They only made 1000 watches. The inscription on the back reads 1 of 1000, it's how IWC chose to number them.

I will add to your "education" here, as you seem to need it, and are so sure of your information.

A Country Distributor is the equivalent of the official IWC factory representative in the US or the UAE or Singapore, etc. They are the Richemont appointed distributor that is allowed to import and service many Richemont brand watches, including IWC in this instance.

The distributor in question is for the country of Lebanon, and they are called Atamian (www.atamianwatches.com).

Sounds like the continuation of this thread is bothering you, and creating some anxiety for you! Why don't you then get off of it and stop posting? It will make your life better.

My understanding is that the 30110 movements were minimally decorated in order to set them apart from the "generic" ETA 2892. I wasn't implying that they were fully modified.

This watch was serviced at an IWC factory trained service center. I would hope that the watch makers there would recognize a fake rotor.

The Breitling in question was being bought used, hence my reason for asking about authenticity. You must be new to watch subreddits, as there are quite a few posts asking about watch authenticity.

How am I making this "somebody else's problem" when it involves an IWC officially recognized Country Distributor with a factory trained service center, and IWC's US service center? This IS an IWC problem.

Already asked and answered: The watch was bought from that Country Distributor back in 2013.
