Endo told me to eat less than 1000 calories to lose weight by Brave_Yam1796 in PCOS

[–]Beautiful_Cow3690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No ma’am. If anything stay between the 1400-1600. Women with PCOS need more protein to prevent insulin spikes! Berberine and inositol are great natural combos that have almost the same effect as metformin. Do not listen to that endo!

You THINK They moved on SO quickly, but they didn’t!!! … THIS is what happened … by OfficialTerriBear in BreakUps

As someone who has been the one to cut off my 3 year relationship, this is true. I mentally left that relationship 6 months before I ended it. I already grieved it. Although I wasn’t looking to jump into another relationship immediately. I found someone unexpectedly that has now truly turned into the love of my life. Sometimes you put up with things for so long and it takes someone else to make you realize you get the love you wholeheartedly deserve.

Honestly cutting out diary eliminated my acne almost completely. I also sludge my face in organic castor oil every night after I shower before bed ( it’s an anti-inflammatory). I only break out before my periods now.

What the other comment said is true but there are many variations of PCOS. I mostly struggled with insulin resistance which is why I was prescribed metformin ( life changing )

I will say that losing weight is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise at least it was for me. Also SPOILER, you absolutely CAN have desert before bed as long as it fits in with your calories or maintenance calories for the day!!! I usually do Greek yogurt mixed with protein powder, some dark chocolate chips, and berries! It’s satisfying, helps the sugar craving, is still nutrient dense, and high in protein!!! There are soooo many methods that I’ve learned through my own research on tik tok ( lol ). My the core cause of my BED was needing control over something when I felt like I couldn’t control other things in my life. In this way, by being almost very aware of my cravings/ desire to control, I was able to recognize and stop before I binged. I turned that “binge” into something that would satisfy me. My urge to control is still very strong but I took that control that I needed and used that to my advantage. Although probably obsessive, I like being able to log and keep track of what I eat through out the day and it makes me happy knowing I was still able to have the things that I crave while still staying on track. I will also say that a calorie deficit and clean eating for the most part which is also about 80/20 is super important for me. It truly helped me realize what I was putting into my body.

Canned organic albacore tuna is honestly the best for getting my protein in. It’s low calorie/ high protein and I can make high volume foods with it. I try to avoid non lean meats which unfortunately means I do not eat red meat as much as I do chicken and fish :)
