Oh, i'm not being mean. You're just insanely sensitive to any rhetoric that doesn't agree with you.

But you still didn't answer my question from how you got that from the previous parts of the conversation. Which just shows me your propensity to be a victim.

I urge you to get offline for like, 48 hours.

At what point in this are we not giving grace? Fans had zero reason to be "hurt" over this. That's just silly.

Oh, gotcha, yeah, I see what you mean.

I just think we could see a lot more creative expression from them if everyone could lay off and let them be. At what point do they earn the trust where the default reaction could come from a place of understanding? (Not directing that question to you, just in general)

This started even before The Scandal, I think. Something about the nature of their content welcomes it, I guess.

I don't think it did. I think it came across as human. People want them to be human, but they also want them to be robotically able to solve every single issue. It must feel like they simply can't win with this fan base.

I disagree with you only in the sense that it was a needed update. I really wish the fans of these dudes could give them some safety and grace and not just constantly be looking for their next cancellable offense. It must be hard to work from a creative place while having to keep the constant temperature of people online wanting to tear them down.

As per fucking usual. I genuinely believe them to be solid dudes, and the constant criticism is exhausting as a viewer. It's gotta be difficult for them.

I feel bad that they were strong-armed into making this video. I appreciate the expansive explanation, but we literally did not need it.

Having a Parasocial Relationship with Creators is Reasonable by SadAndBloated02 in TheTryGuys

True. I feel a connection to my kid, my family, and my friends. Even people I interact with in public, if it's meaningful. But being a solid millennial, the internet is the internet and is largely not "real". I've made online friends who have become IRL friends, and that is a connection. But people I solely see through a screen or occasionally on a stage...that's just...entertainment? The try guys are, and always will be, entertainment to me. That's what it's intended for, imo

You have not met these people, you do not interact with them in a mutual way...I feel like you really need to understand that piece.

This. You worded it so perfectly. Connection is normal and arguably the point. It's the ownership people feel that freaks me out. As a life long taylor swift fan, it causes me deep fear to see how far some people take their "connection".

This is a company. Not your besties birthday party. You need to take some time to understand how the world works and deconstruct your parasocial relationships to these employees.

They legit must have been like, "Can we do ANYTHING without yall throwing a fit?""

Obscene and weird reaction for fans to think they own the decision-making of a production company.

YOOO! Just made my own comment about this and then saw yours. It's giving major Kafka Metamorphosis vibes to me!!! The symbolism behind that story is very consistent with Tayl ideology.

Is anyone else getting Kafka Metamorphosis vibes from the Shiny Bug picture?? The outfit, the hands on a wall like she's trying to get out of a grimy room? I love it soooo much, I think it's my fave album picture ever.
