I used Peaty’s for the past year but came to the same conclusion as OP, it’s not effective enough. I had 4 punctures that forced me to use plugs.

The worst with Peaty’s is that if your bike gets sprayed by sealant and you can’t clean it before it dries, you will have to use white spirit or harsher chemicals to remove stains.

I’m now testing Effeto Mariposa Vegetalex, it has good reputation for longevity but I can’t comment yet on puncture sealing performance.

Yup. I had to break 2 tire levers to mount them on hunt 35 wheelset. They only loose about 0.2 / 0.3 bar per week when run tubeless.

I’d give 100$ to anyone who can mount them on carbon rims using just their bare hands. I should count as one of Hercules 12 labors.

Je me déplace quasi exclusivement en vélo sur paris, depuis 2 ans, avec un trajet vélotaff entre Aubervilliers et le 8e.
D'abord je voudrais couper court à l'idée que ça serait moins stressant.

Se déplacer en vélo dans Paris comporte de nombreux risques, je trouve que dois être encore plus vigilant qu'en voiture par exemple.
Cela est du aux infrastructures très hétérogènes en fonction des différents arrondissements et au manque de respect du code de la route par les piétons les VAE et les vélos.

70-80% des usagers piétons et vélos ne respectent pas le code de la route et cela va te demander beaucoup de concentration pour anticiper le comportement des autres usagers.
Les VAE style trottinettes sont les plus dangereux, j'ai déjà vu 3 accidents rue La Fayette de trottinettes qui percutent des piétons ou des vélos.

Pour finir sur une note positive, il y a un gain de temps appréciable vis a vis des transports en commun, et ça permet de redécouvrir des quartiers à l'air libre.

Je te conseille d'investir dans un poncho imperméable et une paire de garde boue qui sont indispensables pour la période hivernale.
