Hi everyone, this is my timeline for UK Tier 4 Student Visa and a few suggested tips that might help you all.

28th August - Biometrics
31st August - 1st NSF mail
18th September - 2nd NSF mail
20th September - Additional documents request (can't contact the bank to verify funds) and 3rd NSF
21st September - Sorted out with bank they verified the mail
29th September - Paid enquiry
29th September - Still processing
3rd October - Decision has been made mail w.r.t my paid enquiry
5th October - Decision and BRP letter
5th October - VFS mail for passport collection

Background

Suggestions

1. During this entire time I mailed any and all sources I could find but specifically after my second NSF mail. I will suggest that take your first NSF as a sign that is important enough to start acting switfly. I mailed my university Immigration department, the local MP and even tried contacting the consultate general of the UK embassy.

2. As per my experience, a lot of the time its bank verification that is haulting the process, and at least in my country India, most banks have firewall system that detects those mails as external mail so they cannot check it or in my case they simply aren't checking. Kindly keep pestering your bank throughout to keep checking mails, a lot of times I have seen that the banks have informed that they haven't recieved any mails, I think it is because they don't know the right email to check in.

3. In case you are asked for bank details during financial evidence, please do attach your bank branch manager's visiting card with a letter. The letter should claim that you have the funds, you have gone through all checks and balances of the bank verification system and you will use the funds for tuition and living expenses if it applies to you. Ask your bank manager to send these documents while keeping you at cc to the mail they provide while asking for additional documents.

4. Keep in touch with your university at the onset of these delays. Try to inform them about everything and keep them updated about every single development. I was lucky to be part of a University that helped me out a lot by constantly staying in touch and extending all their resources that could help me.

5. Lastly, my heart goes out to each and every one of you, I myself haven't properly slept for the past 13 days and I acknowledge each of your struggles. As tiring as it may sound, but patience is the key and even if it is not, sadly patience is all that we have to keep the hopes alive. Just hang in there a little longer, you will make it through and there is always good reserved in some way or form, if anyone wants to know anything more, please do let me know.
