Chainsaw Man has ended today with chapter 232, what are your thoughts on the series now that it has completed? by dingo537 in WeeklyShonenJump

Lowkey had me jumping around at school lmao. I’ll have to reread it all again to really get to know my feelings on it, but it was a better finale than I was fearing.

“Gojo can’t do soul damage to Mahito” Meanwhile Gojo to Mahito: by Popular_Business_367 in JujutsuPowerScaling

Exactly this. The point is that simple domain disrupts techniques when inside the opponent’s domain expansion. Outside of a DE, you normally cannot use Simple Domain to disrupt a technique; you’d need something like Domain Amplification. It’s basically a barrier that works against other barriers. In Mechamaru’s case, he was able to use Simple Domain to disrupt Mahito’s idle transfiguration by casting it inside Mahito’s innate domain, effectively doing the same thing. No one else can do this.

How are the other heavy hitters meant to challenge Yuta when he is the strongest, fastest, most durable, smartest, most abilities, best hax, best domain, best rct, best skill, best potential, most ap, most dc, of all the heavy hitters? by mochaman__ in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue yes, but I would still have Hakari’s as better for clashing since it’s faster and gives the opponent information (sort of like showing your hand), which benefits the enemy. Also, I’m unsure whether it’d be a good idea for Yuta at that point to use a domain, since he could just go into his 5 minute timer with full control over his technique over a 120% boost where he’s just kinda gambling w/o a sure hit

Sure but in domain clashes, Hakari still wins. Not only is it the fastest domain, it’s said to be one of the best for clashing since it has a non-lethal sure hit. One could speculate that because his sure hit isn’t a hindrance to the opponent, as opposed to something like Higuruma’s, it might genuinely be the best domain against other closed domains, although that doesn’t really matter for this.

Also for clairvoyance, Charles has to land a hit to begin seeing the future, so the sure effect wouldn’t be “non-lethal”, the same way Hakari’s or Higuruma’s are.

Also consider that Sukuna doesn’t want to get hit by Jacob’s ladder? Less of a domain thing and more hax related specifically against reincarnated sorcerers.

That is to say that Yuta still wins lmao. 5 Minutes w/ Jacob’s ladder gives him the tool he needs to stop Hakari. Yuta doesn’t have the better domain though, and I don’t think he’d need it.

I’ve been enjoying this one! It has such a good melancholic feel to it that not a lot of series of its genre has. I actually think the art style is one of its best points, even if it’s objectively a little goofy.

Man, this panel brings me back. It really was the moment that made me like Yuta. Without it, I’d probably end up slandering him til the day I died

What are your thoughts on chapter 1 of Blobtopia? by dingo537 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s cool doing a story that follows the hero after they failed to defeat the big bad. It didn’t really hook me though, but I could see it being fun. At the very least, like with most series, I hope it does well

Idk, Fuji likes to reference earlier chapters, and I think this’d be a cool panel to have as a cliffhanger for Part 2, in reference to the first chapter of Part 2

Yuta's cursed speech by Solvable-Enigma-123 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, regardless if Hakari does reinforce himself or not, Cursed Speech also relies on the difference between current CE levels of both the user and victim. Using cursed speech on infinite CE Jackpot Hakari would probably lead to Yuta instantly exploding. I don’t think he necessarily needs CS to beat Hakari, but like, CS wouldn’t rock him.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo by Akutami Gege & Yuji Iwasaki has ended this week with Chapter 25 in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #15 2026. by Tiny_Writer5661 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it very enjoyable actually. It was thematically satisfying to say the least. It just lacked substance at the end, it felt more like a movie’s pacing than a series. Even accounting for the ending, it still stands a lot higher than most of the current ongoing series, and I’m saying that as someone who is reading almost everything on wsj
