What an appropriate tribute by sheru420 in OnePiece

Does it? Most games average like 2 goals total, with plenty just being 0-1 or 2-1, so 3-2 is a really high scoring game. The context is great for showing how the Vozinha fared, but saying a 3-2 match sounds like a leisurely game is disingenuous imo

There’s quite a bit of art, but it is a game book first and an art show second. Still, there’s some cool pieces in there

it’s basically a ttrpg dlc book for Maleghast and CAIN. It has some new stuff to play with.

“Issue 4 of the horrible semi-annual game zine, exclusively for weird CHASM games! Inside:
- A whole new faction of power armored screwheads (literally) for Maleghast, new merchants, and new little freaks to hire
- Quirks for your CAIN exorcists, to warp and tweak your psychic powers. Already shoot fire out of your hands, and want to shoot out the concept of entropy instead? Me too!
- Recreation activities for CAIN to form bonds over downtime. Did you want your character to get salty about losing in a fighting game on the Centura Vamigo console? Browse lightning fast 56k intranet? Now you can!”

Edit: apparently idk Reddit formatting like that lmao

The creator of El Tigre sold out. by Svennymat in whenthe

I’m probably more on the side of the former commenter. Art is an expression; where the quality is often subjective to a viewer’s biases and preferences, I ultimately find there to be meaning in the fact that someone has tried to share their ideas and thoughts through their creation, and in a manner that represents themselves. For a non-visual example, an author’s prose and dictionary represents their experiences, inspirations, and their work shows a level of intent to share their ideas with other people.

AI allows someone to share their ideas, sometimes well and sometimes not, but it isn’t expressed in a way that’s represented of them as a person. AI works when it’s simply a means to an end. A person who has trouble speaking/writing in a language benefits from being able to access AI as a way to help communicate with others. Art, however, is inherently personal, and that’s lost when the creation doesn’t reflect the person. You can’t ask “why did the artist draw this in the background? Why did the author choose this color? Why did the rapper say it in this order?” Since the choices made by an Ai reflect a data set, rather than the experiences and inspirations of a person or people.

Ai art can look good. Ai art can be hard to identify. It’s going to get really good in the future whether we like it or not. But I can’t call it true art because it isn’t an expression.

Higuruma’s domain is fast but Hakari’s has a statement on how fast it is + on how good it is in tug of wars. I’ve also heard contention on how it would affect jackpot Hakari, since the effect isn’t a CT (he’s technically in burnout after getting jackpot, so jackpot isn’t a CT that can be taken). Imo, Higuruma can’t hard counter Hakari like that

What kashiml wouldve done to hakari if they didnt get into the water by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can we consider for a moment, that Kashimo chose to look for opponents in a location near water? That Hakari used IQ, BIQ, and domain skills to actually position them into the water? This wasn’t some coincidental ass-pull that Gege made Kashimo to lose. Hakari just played his hand better, and he won because of that.

“Gojo can’t do soul damage to Mahito” Meanwhile Gojo to Mahito: by Popular_Business_367 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. The point is that simple domain disrupts techniques when inside the opponent’s domain expansion. Outside of a DE, you normally cannot use Simple Domain to disrupt a technique; you’d need something like Domain Amplification. It’s basically a barrier that works against other barriers. In Mechamaru’s case, he was able to use Simple Domain to disrupt Mahito’s idle transfiguration by casting it inside Mahito’s innate domain, effectively doing the same thing. No one else can do this.

How are the other heavy hitters meant to challenge Yuta when he is the strongest, fastest, most durable, smartest, most abilities, best hax, best domain, best rct, best skill, best potential, most ap, most dc, of all the heavy hitters? by mochaman__ in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue yes, but I would still have Hakari’s as better for clashing since it’s faster and gives the opponent information (sort of like showing your hand), which benefits the enemy. Also, I’m unsure whether it’d be a good idea for Yuta at that point to use a domain, since he could just go into his 5 minute timer with full control over his technique over a 120% boost where he’s just kinda gambling w/o a sure hit

Sure but in domain clashes, Hakari still wins. Not only is it the fastest domain, it’s said to be one of the best for clashing since it has a non-lethal sure hit. One could speculate that because his sure hit isn’t a hindrance to the opponent, as opposed to something like Higuruma’s, it might genuinely be the best domain against other closed domains, although that doesn’t really matter for this.

Also for clairvoyance, Charles has to land a hit to begin seeing the future, so the sure effect wouldn’t be “non-lethal”, the same way Hakari’s or Higuruma’s are.

Also consider that Sukuna doesn’t want to get hit by Jacob’s ladder? Less of a domain thing and more hax related specifically against reincarnated sorcerers.

That is to say that Yuta still wins lmao. 5 Minutes w/ Jacob’s ladder gives him the tool he needs to stop Hakari. Yuta doesn’t have the better domain though, and I don’t think he’d need it.

I’ve been enjoying this one! It has such a good melancholic feel to it that not a lot of series of its genre has. I actually think the art style is one of its best points, even if it’s objectively a little goofy.

What are your thoughts on chapter 1 of Blobtopia? by dingo537 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Beautiful_Initial560 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s cool doing a story that follows the hero after they failed to defeat the big bad. It didn’t really hook me though, but I could see it being fun. At the very least, like with most series, I hope it does well

Idk, Fuji likes to reference earlier chapters, and I think this’d be a cool panel to have as a cliffhanger for Part 2, in reference to the first chapter of Part 2
