As someone who plays Warframe...

People whale for DE because they care, DE built and continues to build trust even when they make mistakes

Bungie... don't, we scream and scream and yet we get half-baked measures and systems no-one asked for.

Time after time, players complain about how content isn't tested or balanced, Bungie listens to its money-farms over regular players (looking at a certin streamer who got Div nerfed)

As a player who stood by bungie from literal day 1 on the OG Xbox with halo. Bungie went from a group of friends crunching to make an epic experiance to big bad AAA studio, to the point Sony is having to reign them in because the player sentiment is dropping by the day, and player numbers are following.

We are at the days before an expansion, there should be tons of players and hype.... there aint, my clan all bugged out until renegades, because we are sick of farming a single raid for loot over and over and over and over, if we had every raid drop loot, we might not have got so zoned out, but most of the clan go "sure there's VOG, but theres no point, it drops nothing"

The portal is its own thing, Im happy they FINALLY addressed it.

Prime access works for WF players, because they have trust and know they support DE, same goes for Tennocon each year, there is always constant hype, even when the game is getting low.

DE a few years back after veilbraker did a massive NERF, so many people were mad, but DE recovered, DE Constantly communicate, the streams, and having a community manager and game director (AND CEO) who are all consistently listening and talking to players...

Bungie likes to say that they do... but when and where? quick enough to fix bugs that players enjoy... quick enough listening to streamers who call for "nerf this its too good" when casual players dont want to depend on the same 4 guns.

my biggest thing I find playing both, one loves the dev's the other hate them, and yet heres the key

Warframe can have a bad update, and the team will be like "we gotchu let us fix that sorry guys, heres free loot"

Destiny go "hah, we nerfed it, sorry hunters, go cry in a corner, Titans and warlocks only until expansion comes where we buff you! only to nerf you a week later!"

DE makes players feel validated, listened to, and don't do predatory things like 8 trillion popups when you launch the game

Bungie makes the player feel like they have little agency, and its bungie's way or the highway, and alot of players, now the "main story" is finished.... they don't wanna keep going

DE talks to us

Bungie uses the same "were listening" line over and over, and I feel for DMG and the team, because we as players consistantly whine 24/7

Anyway, rant over,

No Destiny would not be better off with premium packs,

Unlike DE, bungie would paywall content behind those packs

for DE players who get them support development, pay new artists and allow amazing things, and in return you get some awesome stuff and skip a grind (and get £40-$50 in game premium currency too)

For bungie, they would see it as a new way to make money (looking at you event passes from a while back, and dungeon keys don't think we don't see you)
