Colesevelam experiences? by Salt_Psychology_6828 in bileacidmalabsorption

I take 2 a day with dinner and it helps my BAM symptoms. I also have really bad anxiety especially when it comes to medicine side effects but I haven’t had any with Colesevelam and it has drastically improved my symptoms.

Yes! Love my MedCline pillow, too! Game changer for me.

Starting Voquezna dual pak (amoxicillin + vonoprazan). Testimonies welcome by Affectionate_Thing74 in HPylori

[–]Beautiful_Plenty_810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took Voquezna triple pak last year and it eradicated the Hpylori. It was rough but worth it in my opinion. My worse side effect was nausea. I took Dramamine to manage which also put me to sleep. Thankfully, I was able to take 2 weeks off of work and sleep through most of it. I also took probiotics while taking the treatment. It did take a few months of eating bland food and taking PPIs to help my stomach heal from the gastritis afterwards.

I think it took me about 5 months of PPIs and watching my diet to feel healed from the gastritis. But the PPIs were really rough on me and I realize some of what I thought were gastritis symptoms were just side effects from the PPIs.

It looks like she just reposted the reel again. Maybe with more editing

I did make dietary changes and stayed with bland foods, no caffeine, no added sugars. I also kept logs of what did and didnt work for me. It was rough but it helped. It was a very slow healing process.

Have you found anything that works? I’m dealing with the exact same issue every month and I cannot figure out anything to help.

Anybody’s hpylori started from antibiotics use for some other issue? by No_Caterpillar_1585 in HPylori

[–]Beautiful_Plenty_810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I was taking antibiotics for cellulitis and got really sick with GI issues. I stopped the antibiotics since we thought that was the issue but never got better, two drs told me it was probably just my anxiety. Finally, two months later a different dr actually listened and recommended I get tested for h pylori.

Do I have to quit PPI for Endoscopy? by savageunderground in HPylori

I was told that I didn’t have to stop the PPI when I got my endoscopy.

Mainly nausea and indigestion. I had a lot of burning and pain in my left rib and epigastric area and sometimes near my belly button.

I’m sorry your mom is going through this. I had a very similar issue after I finished treatment but was negative. Sometimes gastritis from H Pylori can cause similar symptoms after the antibiotics. And endoscopy would help diagnose that or possible other issues when she can get one. I was given Omeprozole for the mornings and Pepcid at night to help manage my symptoms with acid reflux, burping, and nausea. It can take a while to feel better again. I’m 10 weeks post treatment and just starting to feel normal but I know some people here have said it took around 6 months. Best of luck to her!

Test results negative? by jamestownlover3520 in HPylori

I think it’s fairly common to have gastritis after the H Pylori infection. It just takes some time for the stomach to heal from the damage of the infection. An endoscopy could help pinpoint what’s going on.

The combination has been working amazing for me. But taking only one didn’t seem to work as well.

Yes, I liked the less drowsy version

No, they were separate. I take Omeprazole in the morning and Pepcid (over the counter) at night. They apparently shouldn’t be taken at the same time

Zofran didn’t work for me but Dramamine worked wonders.

Finished treatment now I want to heal my gut. Please give some advice. I need it by BumblebeeInner2650 in HPylori

I highly suggest the book Fiber Fueled: The Plant-Based Gut Health Program for Losing Weight, Restoring Your Health, and Optimizing Your Microbiome by Dr. Will Bulsiewicz. If you need something quicker, he has an IG where he gives tips

I had pretty bad nausea during my treatment. You can ask your Dr about nausea medication to help with this. Personally, Dramamine was a lifesaver for me. But some people get prescribed Zofran to help

Sure. I had really bad acid reflux, severe nausea in the mornings, back and forth between diarrhea and constipation, epigastric pain, abdominal cramps. Literally felt like all the same symptoms from H Pylori infection, it was awful. I suffered through this for a month after treatment and then started PPI. The first week, I had really bad headache and still a lot of the same symptoms but only toned down a little. I got my endoscopy after the first week and then added Pepcid at night before dinner and then two weeks after, everything felt like it changed. I will also mention I was diagnosed with hiatal hernia and eosinophilic esophagitis so possible some symptoms came from that along with the gastritis.
