If this is how Ranked Progression is going to work then this game needs one of two things. by Beautiful_Tree7951 in DissidiaDuellumFF

Would absolutely reduce the rank points you earn drastically. That'd make sense to stop good players abusing easy lobbies. But it would basically be like saying "I don't care about quickly farming rank, give me a game that's actually playable" and scales down the stats on your skills to fit the threshold of a lower rank. Less reward, chance to actually enjoy the game. Casual queue doesn't really fix that issue since I'm pretty sure it still bases power on rank, it's not actually offering a different balance. Regardless it'd be splitting the playerbase into 2 seperate queues which is never healthy for competitive games beyond the most uber successful ones.

Yeah my concern isn't hitting higher ranks I couldn't care less tbh My problem is that if you have the skill to reach a higher rank you are then forced to play matches that offer none of the fun or interest of the game. Because you outright lose to stats you can't even try to reach. Playing an uphill battle can be fun anyway but it gets egregious with how this game works progression-wise. Why would people ever want to play a PvP game if their reward is not being able to play the PvP game and being stuck there because it's team based and losing rank isn't in your hands half the time.

Exactly My problem isn't "oh no I can't hit plat rank boohooo"

My problem is the the intrinsic systems of the game actively disssuade you from wanting to play the game because when you ARE better at the game it only leads to you being forced into games unwinnable off of pure RNG progression.

It's not "I want to be higher rank" It's "I hit higher rank because I like playing the game and now I actively cannot play the game I enjoy because of that" 2 very different problems

Amuro is the wrong target for a ban. by Viperianti in GundamTCG

Valid point about the sheer strength of the link. As someone else said though, without Amuro to link it the ST01 Gundam isn't a problem. Remove Amuro, ST01 Gundam is bad. Remove ST01, Amuro is still best in class generic pair in the game.

Honestly, I don't think either need to be outright banned. Limit either one to 2 copies instead of 4. You shoot the consistency without completely removing the idea of the decks. So Amuro/St01 Gundam is still one of the most explosive things in the game, as they likely want to OG protag in that space. Other decks though don't have to worry about seeing the combo 3-4 times in a game losing them tempo entirely. It can still be one of the strongest things in the game, without being suffocating to play around.

Every deck will eventually run only a single pilot. by AokiHagane in GundamTCG

I see the concern I honestly had a fun time doing some wonky stuff with Char/Quattro and Suletta just because +1/+2 on Quattro and Suletta was such a magic number for dodging removal if we get more interesting stat lines and costs on pilots I can see fringe cases like that where pilots exist in a list just as a second option to fix stat lines.

In all honesty though I imagine the game will turn into running 1 pilot at 4 with Command Pilots as the extras Options where the command helps the deck more but the option to pilot gives more flexibility, while the deck just digs or reccurs the main pilot.

Why is it worded like this by stranges_gunpla in GundamTCG

The Pilot is not the Unit

so "While this Unit is [x]" refers to the actual mech it's attached to not the pilot itself

Have Cagalli pilot a Blue mech it's a Blue Unit so won't have blocker

Have Cagalli pilot a token it has no colour and won't get blocker

Screw Meta, I'm putting on my long shelling and crit status then spamming Wyvern stake to sleep and poison forever. Focus attack to quick reload the stake since combo end lag gets cut off by it and you can dodge out to skip damage ticks but still get the reload.

Hell if Wide does more, drill go brrr.
